SERVICES
Renee is a fully qualified and experienced Naturopath and Acupuncturist who has been in practice since 1998. She is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and is a registered acupuncturist with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria (CMRB).
Renee treats a diverse range of conditions using a combination of modalities and has a special interest in womens and childrens health, and fertility health (including support for those undergoing IVF).
With two young boys of her own, she has first hand experience with childhood ailments! She also specialises in musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and sports injuries.




What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a treatment that uses encompases herbal medicine, nutrition, diet and lifestyle counselling Individual diagnosis is made with a thorough case history, tongue and pulse diagnosis and iridology and a physical examination when required. Naturopathic treatment aims to address the cause of illness and treat this in order to improve the symptoms of conditions and improve overall health and vitality.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a traditional chinese therapy where very fine needles are inserted into the skin at specific points that run along pathways in the body known in chinese medicine as meridians. It is believed in chine mesedicine that a life force called Qi runs through these meridians. The acupuncture needles aim to correct any imbalance in this flow. Although some people may have initial aprehensions about the use of needles, they soon discover that the treatments are often relaxing and regenerating with little if any discomfort.



Other Chinese Therapies:
Moxibustion, Gua sha , Cupping

Alongside acupuncture, there are a number of different chinese medical therapies that can be applied to treat relevant conditions.
Cupping is the use of specially designed glass suction cups which are placed on the skin and often used to assist in muscular aches and pains.
Moxibustion is the use of a herb called mugwort which is used to heat acupoints or areas of the body.
Gua sha is the use of a ceramic spoon to assist in areas of pain and stagnation such as back pain.
