The NSW School of Natural Medicine was founded in 1988 and since then has built an impressive and enviable reputation for respected, high quality, well-trained graduates.
The School is a Government registered training organisation offering a full range of professional practitioner courses for both Australian and international students. It is fully accredited with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society and the following qualifications have ASQA accreditation:

Most of our courses that are of one year duration or longer are Austudy/Abstudy approved.
The School is insured with ACPET to protect students fees paid in advance. This protects the money you invest in a course under Higher Education Support Act (Cth) 2003 and also meets ASQA's financial management requirements.
The School also offers a wide range of distance education courses through its association with the British Institute of Homoeopathy. These include professional practitioner courses in Homoeopathy and Veterinary Homoeopathy and courses in Women's Health and Bach Flower Remedies. A separate British Institute Prospectus is available on request.
All courses have as their underlying philosophy the concept that Nature provides the tools for healing; the aim of natural therapies being to strive to stimulate the body's own healing energies using these tools of nature.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The NSW School of Natural Medicine was founded in 1988 and since then has built an impressive and enviable reputation for respected, high quality, well-trained graduates.
LOCATION
The School has been described as having the most idyllic location of any naturopathic college in Australia. It is situated in a beautiful rural valley just five minutes from the town centre of Coffs Harbour. The lecture rooms look over several acres of gardens containing many trees and a large walled herb garden.
The perfect, natural setting for studying natural medicine.
Coffs Harbour has a picturesque location where the Great Dividing Range meets the Pacific Ocean on the north coast of NSW. Sydney can be reached in one hour from Coffs Harbour’s airport.
We have one of the best climates in Australia with more hours of sunlight than areas to the south and less humidity than areas to the north. There is a back drop of National Parks and Sub-tropical forests for you to explore, as well as uncrowded beaches and the wonders of a Marine Reserve.
EDUCATION STANDARDS
The education offered at the School is of the highest standard, with one of the most comprehensive naturopathic programmes in Australia. Smaller class sizes allow for close interaction between lecturers and students and all lecturers are practicing professionals within their field of
expertise.
FLEXIBILITY
Streams at the School operate under an Open University style system, giving students flexibility in planning their study to suit their lifestyle. A wide variety of streams are offered, including Advanced Diploma and Diploma for professional qualifications and modules for general interest or personal growth.
To assist students who have work commitments, lectures are held wherever possible in the evenings or at weekends.
Dispensary
The School’s well-equipped Dispensary is our pride and joy, containing hundreds of fluid herbal extracts, Homœopathics and Bach Flower Remedies. Our Dispensary stocks a very wide range of ‘Practitioner-Only’ supplements that are available at very competitive prices.
Professional Training Clinics
Our professional training clinics provide students with invaluable experience treating patients under the supervision of experienced practitioners. Clinical training is an integral part of professional training. Members of the public also benefit from access to natural health care at a substantially lower cost than normal.
A number of the School’s lecturers participate in supervision of the clinics, giving students exposure to many differing practitioner styles. Video-taping naturopathic and homœopathic consultations with the patient’s consent also allows students to review their clinical techniques and improve their relationships with patients.
