WHAT IS REIKI:

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word that translates to ‘Universal Life Energy’. This healing practice was founded by the renowned Dr. Mikao Usui in 1922.

Reiki is healing energy in its truest sense and a Reiki Practitioner channels this life energy through their hands to the client in a non-invasive setting.

The electrical output of a person’s whole body has been measured using an electromyography(EMGs) and an interesting research was carried out (by Valerie Hunt a Physical Therapist and Professor in Kinesiology at UCLA) where high-energy sites on the body known as chakra points were obtained. Most people in this study registered within normal range of approx 250 cps (cycles per second). But when tested on people who used energy healing such as Reiki or those who used their psychic ability, it was found that their frequencies registered in a band between 400cps and 800cps.
