SERVICES

Welcome to O’Heart & Associates Craniosacral Therapy

At O'Heart and Associates we pride ourselves in being practitioners of excellence, passionate about what we do. Our aim is to get to the root cause of our clients symptoms so that your body can freely express its own innate well being and vitality.

As a client you can have piece of mind that we will use all of our expertise in Craniosacral Therapy and Shiastu and Thai Massage to take good care of you and teach you how to take better care of yourself.

Whether you are in chronic discomfort, acute pain or wanting to maintain your health to its optimum we welcome you.

Located in Gardenvale,(is one word) Melbourne. We service those requiring Craniosacral Therapy and Shiastu and Thai Massge all over Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

Craniosacral Therapy

This occurs when restrictions are released to allow the body’s own life force to be expressed freely in the body’s anatomy and physiology so that a person’s original “blueprint of health” can be expressed.

These restriction patterns can occur through accident, injury and trauma, emotional stress and sometimes locked within the DNA itself. These restrictions create a cellular memory of experience and a neural pattern of expression that can be negative to our health. These restrictions are gently mirrored back through the central nervous system to the brain, which then corrects them by sending a revised neural response to release the restrictions to allow greater freedom within the tissues of the body and to increase the vitality and energy of the body.

Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for all ages, from babies, children and adults. It treats a broad range of health issues including muscloskeletal pain, mental depression, anxiety and fatigue, trauma from accident, injury or birth and acute and chronic illness.

Craniosacral Therapy has very profound therapeutic healing effects on the body, mind and spirit. It is a subtle, non invasive hands on therapy. As a client you will lie fully clothed on a treatment table. The practitioner will place their hands gently on the parts of your body that require support.

As the practitioner works you will experience gentle warm pulsing motions within your body as restrictions are released. At the end of the session your body will be realigned and balanced and you will experience yourself as more grounded with better mental clarity. Most clients report a significant improvement in their health in a couple of treatments.

A Craniosacral Therapy treatment is deeply relaxing and a total rejuvenating experience.

Shiatsu & Thai Massage

Deeply rooted in traditional Oriental medicine, Shiatsu (meaning finger pressure) and Thai Yoga Massage are powerful and highly efficient holistic therapies for the body, mind and spirit.

These therapeutic modalities blend elements of acupressure, Yoga, reflexology, physiotherapy, osteopathy, meditation, energy healing, chiropractic and Ayurveda.

The primary aim of this integrated therapy is to restore and balance the body’s energy system that contains Chi or the vital life force. This comprises a multitude of energy channels that run throughout the body. In the West, the most commonly known term for these channels is acupuncture meridians, whilst in Thai culture, these pathways are called Sen lines.

Due to physical or emotional trauma, bad posture, injuries or limiting belief systems, vital energy can be trapped or blocked, causing physical and emotional dis-ease. Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage together with their amazing techniques and adjustments offer a truly wonderful experience for a client, as energy blockages are removed and deep healing occurs, restoring natural balance and wellbeing.

The practitioner uses their thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet to deliver acupressure and facilitate the gentle rocking and twisting, breath work, joint and spine mobilizations and assisted yoga stretches, for the client.

Typically an appointment lasts from 1 to 2 hours but can be longer when required. Performed on a floor mat with both client and practitioner in comfortable light clothing, this "lazy yoga for busy people" creates a graceful, gentle movement meditation for the body.

Although the main emphasis is usually for health maintenance (as all disease manifests first on the energy level and can be treated there before it becomes physical), the following are among many tangible benefits that can be received during and after the session:
total stress busting, facilitating deep relaxation, calm and rest
a general increase in energy and mental alertness
relief from pain and muscular tension
a strengthening and rejuvenation of the body, mind and spirit
improved blood and lymph circulation strengthening immunity
an increase in flexibility and range of motion/posture
a balancing of the nervous system
a toning of the internal organs, improved digestion and breathing
a release of accumulated lactic acid and other toxins from the muscles
    a deep sense of peace
