On the Go Rehabilitation Services offer a comprehensive rehabilitation service meeting all of your therapy needs in your own environment, whether that be at home, at work, aged care facility, clinic, sporting complex, school, hospital or hydrotherapy pool. Our therapists are fully equipped to assist you wherever your need might be.
All conditions and needs are catered for, including but not limited to:
Chest physiotherapy is aimed at maximising an infant, child, adolescent and adult respiratory function by clearing secretions from the lungs and improving ventilation. Respiratory physiotherapists treat conditions such as cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, lung collapse, COPD, emphysema and can be useful in preventing complications following surgery.
Neurological - Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of patients who have a neurological disorder. These disorders affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves; such as stroke, MS, Parkinson's disease, traumatic and acquired brain injury, Guillain Barre Syndrome, other neuropathies and degenerative conditions.
Orthopaedic - Management of fractures and dislocations, including pre & post operative management following a total knee replacement (TKR), total hip replacement (THR), shoulder surgery and spinal surgery.
Musculoskeletal injuries - Common problems treated by the physiotherapist include sports injuries, shoulder pain and injuries, knee pain, back pain and sciatica, neck pain and headaches and work related problems (RSI).
Paediatric - Physiotherapy for children aged between 0 - 17, addressing disorders including, sports and traumatic injuries, delayed gross motor skills, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, prematurity, juvenile arthritis and genetic disorders (Muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis etc). Our physiotherapists can provide advice, trials and asistance in funding applications for equipment.
Balance impairments - Balance may be impaired by inner ear disorders, neurological disorders (including Parkinson’s Disease), aging or simply poor muscular tone and strength. Physiotherapy can assist in the management of these disorders and prevent further injury.
Pre- and post-surgery - Physiotherapy can assist in preparing patients for their surgeries to improve recovery period and enhance outcomes.
Cardiac rehabilitation - Patients preparing or having had cardiac surgery, including bypass surgery, angioplasty, stents, heart valve replacements and even heart transplants will benefit from physiotherapy. Patients who have other cardiac issues can benefit from physiotherapy too; they include people who have experienced heart attacks, heart failure, peripheral artery disease, chest pain and cardiomyopathy.
Women's health - Women's health encompasses a broad spectrum of issues; pregnancy back pain, incontinence, mastitis, pre-natal core strenthening and pelvic floor exercise, pre- and post-natal exercise programs, post-mastectomy treatment and other birth/ pregnancy related issues.
Mobility issues - Physiotherapists can analyse an individual’s walking pattern and provide training to improve or retrain it. Our therapists can provide walking programs for the elderly to maintain their independence and improve their health and well-being. Assistance and advice can be provided with respect to walking aids and assistive devices in the home or workplace if required.
Strength training/ Physical deconditioning needs/ exercise prescription - Comprehensive individualised exercise programs can be prescribed to achieve the outcomes you want. Physical exercise has been shown to improve quality of life and prolong independence.
Workplace rehabilitation - Physiotherapy can assist in the management and prevention of workplace injuries through active treatment and education. Return to work protocols can be formulated to reduce down time and financial disruption to both the employer and employee.
Education - Provide lectures/seminars to employers/ employees with respect to Occupational Health and Safety, including Manual Handling. We are also able to provide inservices and training to school and childcare staff on general skill attainment in children, common childhood physical issues and conditions, appropriate exercise and activites for children and many other topics.

Aquatic Physiotherapy - is conducted in a therapeutically heated pool. The benefits of warmth for pain relief and relaxation, as well as the buoyancy and resistance water provide, can assist in many of the conditions listed above.
