About The Doctor
Dr. Jason Barritt completed 6 years of undergraduate studies in science at the University of New South Wales and is published in one of the world's most prestigious neurological journals for his research on facial nerves. Using electron microscopy, he discovered a nerve which helped solve a puzzle that scientists had pondered for years. He was awarded the Winifred Rost Prize for outstanding merit in anatomy at University and graduated with first class honours. He attended chiropractic college for 2 years part-time at the Sydney College of Chiropractic and then transferred to Palmer College of Chiropractic--West in California. Jason completed his four-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1990. While in practice he has participated in hundreds of hours of postgraduate training in effective healing methods that has enabled him to help many patients to resolve a wide range of health issues. He has practiced chiropractic in Penrose, Colorado with his wife, Dr. Judy Barritt, for the past 10 years. They have four children ages 5 to 17. Jason said, "Americans have been so warm and welcoming to me but after 18 years away, it's great to be home again!"

'Dr Barritt’s focus is on teaching the body to fix its own problems.
“I help my patients to teach their spine to adjust itself, it’s about allowing the spine to make new connections using very low force adjustments. The less pressure I put on the back and the further away from the painful areas I touch, the more the body learns how to make its own positive corrections.” It’s a form of neuroplastic treatment – “neuro” for neuron, the nerve cells in the brain and “plastic” for changeable, malleable and modifiable. Essentially Dr Barritt works to utilize his patients’ neuroplastic capabilities, that is, the brain’s ability to correct distortions in the spine and thus decrease pain and increase flexibility. He aims to reduce or remove the patient’s chronic pain pathways and develop the ability to identify and reduce multiple sites of injury...
Patient Lina from Nicholls had suffered from scoliosis her whole life and had unrelenting back, neck, head, hip and leg pain.
She had visited a variety of different professionals to try and ease the severe pain and restrictions she felt. She had even worn a back brace 20 hours a day for six months. Nothing worked for her. That is, until she visited Dr Barritt.
“When I first saw Jason I had severe constant hip, low back, foot and neck
pain. Every movement of my neck and back caused pain. There was almost nowhere in my back and neck that could be touched without causing terrible pain. I was also very stiff. Now
most of that is completely gone.”
Through Dr Barritt’s use of neuroplasticity Lina now has a new lease on life.
