Services Available

  • Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage

Massage therapy provides relief to people of all ages from babies to seniors and all walks of life. A variety of health conditions are addressed with a drug free, non-invasive and individualised approach based on the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Relaxation massage increases the oxygen flow in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles. It feels wonderful and is so good for physical and mental health.

Remedial/Deep Tissue massage can be a treatment for the whole body or for a specific injury or problem. It treats the cause of the injury or pain, not only the symptoms. It is one of the most effective and natural treatments for stress related conditions.

  • Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage uses gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to stimulate the lymphatic vessels that remove waste products. It is beneficial for stimulating the immune system, detoxing, protecting from infection, improving metabolism and fluid elimination.

  • Hot Stone Therapy

Stone therapy is a thermotherapy, using stones to provide heat on key acupressure sites. The heat relaxes the muscles, allowing for a much deeper massage. Heated stones can also be placed on the body’s chakras, or energy points, working with the body’s natural energy to create balance both physically and mentally. Alternatively, the stones can be used as a kind of “place marker”, letting the therapist know where more specific massage or treatments are needed. Stones found in nature are used at Pause and Relax Natural Therapies.

When getting a stone therapy massage, it is not unusual for the client’s body temperature, heart rate and breathing rate to rise and fall during the treatment. This is not harmful and is merely the result of the rapid exchange of oxygen and blood in the body. The therapist’s goal is to bring about deep relaxation in the client so that negativity is removed and the client feels an overall sense of wellbeing and deep relaxation.

  • Reflexology

Reflexology involves the application of gentle pressure to reflex points located on the feet or hands. These points relate to the internal organs, glands and structures of the body. Pressure on reflex points can therefore affect and normalise the functioning of the body - the body's natural ability to heal itself is stimulated and balance can be restored.
Reflexology complements all other forms of treatment and can be used for relaxation, stress relief, and restoring balance where there are health concerns.

  • Waxing

We use only the best quality hot and strip waxes at Pause and Relax. Application is quick and professional techniques are applied to ensure the least amount of pain.

  • Ear Candling

When excessive ear wax and toxin builds up, you may develop conditions such as blocked sinuses, headaches, earaches, vertigo or dizziness, minor hearing loss, sore throat or coughing, allergies or upper respiratory infections. Ear wax is essential to our well being but what is drawn into the candle is a mixture of toxins, fungus, fluid, dust and excess wax. The hollow ear candles are made from beeswax and cotton cloth and enclose a small filter. Once inserted gently into the ear the candle is lit and this acts like a chimney and draws from the ear. Reflex points around the ear are stimulated by the warmth of the candle and massage. A wonderfully relaxing experience!
