About Lou
I originally trained as an accountant and worked for large companies, travelling all over the world. I discovered Pilates when it was suggested to me as an alternative to the gym. I had been a self-confessed gym junkie for years and wasn’t really sure what Pilates was. After a few small group sessions I was hooked, I started doing Pilates more and more and going to the gym less and less. My posture improved, those niggly aches and pains vanished and I felt stronger than I’d ever been.
I decided to retrain as a Pilates instructor so I could share my passion for Pilates with others. After completing my STOTT PILATES® Certification I decided to completely change my lifestyle and start Pilates by Lou. Leaving the corporate world and my stressful management job behind has been my best decision yet!
