PILATES
Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on the mind and body.
Pilates flows through a series of movements that are dynamic, systematic and anatomically based. It is a type of conditioning that requires the individual to concentrate on breathing and subtle internal muscular movement and placement. Once you have a good understanding of the basics the level of your workout will progress and you will achieve positive results of strength and well being.
SESSIONS
Initial Consultation and beyond...
We encourage every new client to have an initial consultation. This is especially important if you have any injuries or concerns. Your initial session includes a basic posture assessment and then you begin to learn the principles of the Pilates method and incorporate them into a workout. This one on one consultation will give you the opportunity to become familiar with some of the specialised Pilates apparatus. It is the beginning of a series of movements and exercises that challenge your core strength. You will be personally guided through a matwork and equipment based workout.
Following this session, we will discuss with you the package options that are best suited to your goals. We recommend that you attend one or two of these initial private sessions prior to joining a group studio session, especially if you have injury history or if you currently have any back or neck pain. Our online booking system will let you browse the schedule and book in. If you prefer, you can email us or call the studio directly and we will arrange a time that best suits your schedule.

Private Sessions are a one on one session and are the best, most detailed, intense and accurate form of Pilates.
