Pilates Insight Studio is a friendly and intimate studio that offers semi-private Pilates equipment sessions which are tailored to meet individual needs and levels. The sessions have a maximum of 3 participants. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality instruction and encouragement to make your workout challenging and rewarding.




About Pilates

Pilates is a low-impact body and mind workout designed to stretch, strengthen and balance your whole body.

Pilates is suitable for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women during and after pregnancy, and people at various stages of physical rehabilitation.

The method encourages your mind to control your body and focuses on proper form and alignment to ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively.

Regular Pilates work will correct muscular imbalance and strengthen your core muscles, including the deep abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, gluteals and deep spinal muscles.

As a result, you will achieve a strong, toned and erect body, improve your dynamic stability and help prevent back pain and injury.

About Us

Marcia is a qualified Pilates teacher and a member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia, with over 10 years experience in the fitness industry in Australia and overseas. "I have been through rehabilitation myself due to multiple fractures in a car crash prior to my University years and also due to a disc bulge after my child’s birth. I can appreciate the frustrations and difficulties one can go through when exercising after injuries or with chronic back pain and how debilitating pain can be. So we work around the pain to restore healthy muscle patterns and make sure we adequate progression and load to achieve a happy outcome."

Working for several years as a Personal Trainer, she came across Pilates and never looked back. Her fascination for Pilates comes from the sense of achievement she witnessed while working with her clients and on her self. She defines Pilates as being an intelligent method of exercise that fully explores the potential of our bodies.

Over the years Marcia worked with a variety of people from all ages and body capabilities, and she dedicates her time to constantly learn how to make her programs safe, effective and enjoyable. She has a special interest in rehabilitation, corrective exercise and sport-specific programs.

"I am personally not a big fan of exercises overall. It was only after I started going to Pilates Insight Studio that I found the right balance between enjoyment and exercise. It's been more than a year now that I've been going to Pilates weekly. I feel that being in a small group allows the instructor to work almost individually with each one focusing on what you need the most.
In addition, there is flexibility with the class schedule, I mean, if you can't make your regular time in a particular week, you can move it for another day or time. Finally, I have been very impressed with the results particularly with regards to my posture, which has improved significantly. I now even look forward to doing my regular exercises."

Local training and certifications: Certificate IV in Pilates (Pilates International Centre). Certficate III in Fitness and Mat/Reformer Training ( Stott Pilates Method).
Academic background: BA Physical Education and Graduate Diploma in Physiology and Sports Training.
