My name is Loretta Hallett and I’m the owner of Pilates Plus Fitness Studio.

Pilates Plus is a business that specializes in Pilates based fitness training. It is sad but true to say that my career in the fitness industry began when leg warmers and lycra leotards were taken seriously! Over the past 20 years, I have helped hundreds of people achieve a greater quality of life through health and fitness. Like Joseph Pilates, I believe that physical fitness is THE foundation for all the other aspects of our lives, and Pilates is THE foundation for a lifetime of physical fitness.

I first experienced Pilates about 15 years ago when I decided to have a go at Competitive Aerobics and needed to improve my flexibility…..alot!! Not only did it transform my body, making it incredibly strong and supple at the same time , it totally transformed my approach to fitness.

After suffering a debilitating back injury several years ago, Pilates has become the cornerstone of my health and wellbeing. It enables me to be free of pain and experience a level of physical fitness that goes beyond the scope of my injury. I truly believe that Pilates, combined with functional strength training and the right level of cardio training and good quality nutrition is the perfect package for a life time of fitness, health and happiness!!

PILATES
Pilates is a form of exercise that works your body from the inside out and helps your body to stay in “correct alignment” also known as posture. It is without a doubt, THE foundation for a lifetime of fitness! It is a great way to: Recover from and prevent injury,keep your back and joints healthy and strong,develop a strong and toned torso,stay flexible and mobile,recover from and prepare for pregnancy,develop a greater quality of movement in your body.

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING
Whilst Pilates creates strength in your inner postural muscles, functional strength training provides strength in the outer, bigger muscles which help us perform our daily tasks and participate in recreational and sporting activities. All that functional means is that what you do in your training, then translates into your day to day activities. It is also without a doubt the NUMBER ONE ACTIVITY FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND MANAGEMENT! It is also a great way to:Increase your energy levels during the day,create a toned, in shape body,reduce body fat levels,increase your metabolism,increase sporting performance,prevent injury,give you confidence,prevent the onset and progression of Osteoporosis.

CARDIOVASCULAR TRAINING
Of course we all know that we have to do “aerobic” activities for the health of our heart and lungs and here at Pilates Plus Fitness Studio, we use indoor cycling as a safe, effective and fun way of achieving cardiovascular fitness for our clients. It is also a great way to:Increase your energy levels during the day,improve your sporting performance,reduce body fat levels,increase your metabolism ,improve your the state of your mind,improve your immune system.
