Welcome to Retrofit Personal Training & Exercise Physiology Studio
Retrofit Personal Training and Exercise Physiology Studio is situated at Gilmour Street, Bathurst. University (Human Movement) qualified instructors and Accredited Exercise Physiologist will guide you in an array of exercise to meet your needs that focus on one-on-one approach to your general fitness.
At Retrofit our small studio provides our clients with the privacy that most chain gymnasium are unable to deliver. We are able to provide our clients with the opportunity to work one-on-one with an expert to achieve their individual goals, especially those who are overweight/obese and looking to reduce weight and to get healthy.
Warren is also an accredited BEAT-IT Trainer with the Australian Diabetes Council. The BEAT-IT program aims to promote physical activity and lifestyle modification to assist those with diabetes or are at risk,as well as other chronic illnesses by improving their health through awareness and physical activity.
Some frequently ask questions
1. Can I claim on my health fund?
YES. Retrofit PT/Exercise Physiology Studio is recognised by several health funds. If you are referred to us by your GP, than you maybe
eligible for a Medicare Rebate of 5 sessions(under the Ehance Primary Care Plan).
2. How long will an assessment & Exercise program take?
This will usually depend on your needs. As a guide, at this studio you may need to allow between thirty minutes to an hour.
3. What happens on my first visit?
(a) Your physical fitness & posture will be assessed and you will be given an array of assessment comprising of VO2 max, balance and strength.
(b) You will be asked questions regarding your medical history and whether you are taking any medication prescribed by your doctor. You will be asked to completed some forms for administration purpose.
* Following Standard Consultation, clients may be advised of further procedures appropriate to the presenting problems and their recommended management.
STEP!
What is STEP: STEP is a 4 weeks military - style complete body workout program that encompasses an intensive 1 - hour session of jogging and aerobics designed to strengthen all major muscle groups and increase your cardiovascular capacity.
GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTION: 2 days/week delivered classes that are held morning or evenings, Monday through Wednesday. Each day you, your classmates and your Instructor will meet and work out your entire body. Daily we will focus on teaching you how to jog, do push ups, lift weights. STEP workouts include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular, speed and endurance, partner resistance, strength training with log drills, tractor tyres.
GROUP SIZE: 6 or organise your own group.
Warren has a combine military service of 15 years. As a Ship Naval Diver and Submariner, he knows the physical demands placed on individuals for selection requirements. In addition, Warren specialises in reducing the onset of risk factors associated with chronic illness, such as overweight, obesity, cardiovascular disease, depression to name but a few.
In 2006, his work on reducing the risk factors associated with chronic disease was one of eight finalist within the category of Appropriateness of care in the 2006 Baxter NSW Health Awards.
