Our principal, Doctor Chang (Charlie) Li, M.B. China, graduated from one of the most influential Chinese Medicine universities in Beijing. During the five year term in university, he studied both Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. After graduating, he completed his internship in a research hospital. He continued working there as a doctor for 10 years before migrating to New Zealand in 1993. A successful partnership in a Chinese medicine practice followed for the next 10 years. In November 2003, Doctor Li moved to Australia and set up his own practice in Aspley, Brisbane, at the RHT Herbal Centre in 2004.
After 25 years of clinical practice, Doctor Li has gained a wealth of clinical experience in treatment including internal medicine, gynaecology, surgery, pediatrics and many common diseases.
Doctor Li is an accredited member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association Ltd (AACMA), and provides ethical treatment to a high standard.
Specialising in herbal medicine, Charlie also provides acupuncture (using hygienic disposable needles) and deep tissue massage. "Cupping" (also known as "moxibustion") is also offered. At RHT Herbal Centre we stock an extensive range of pre-packaged herbal medicines as well.
