About Ros
Ros is a registered psychologist, family therapist and researcher with a wide range of experience. Ros has extensive experience in child, adolescent and adult mental health; marital and couple therapy and forensic mental health. She has run group treatment programs for depression and anxiety and provides individual therapy under the Better Access Medicare initiative.
Ros worked in sex offender rehabilitation and with survivors of sexual abuse in prison and the community. She provides assessment and treatment services to job network providers for jobseekers who have been incarcerated or on parole. Ros is listed on a Registry of Skilled Practitioners who are committed to provide therapy to individuals and groups of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. This register is maintained by Respond SA which is a dedicated service for adult survivors of sexual abuse. http://respondsa.org.au/en.aspx
Ros worked in employee support and Workcover in an international psychology practice before establishing her own private practice in 2010. She also worked with the Australian Defence Forces providing personnel and family assessments.
Ros has degrees in Science, Sociology, Psychology and a doctorate in education. She has a special interest in gender issues and completed a thesis on adolescent girls and their career choices. Ros continues to do research work at the university in this area.
Ros contributed to the writing of training packages for the Australian General Practice Network in the provision of care for rural men, culturally and linguistically diverse people and young mothers.
A standard consultation fee is $155 per session and a family session is $220. These fees are subject to change without notice. I offer discounts on request and will bulkbill in the event of financial hardship.
As a registered psychologist, GP referrals for Medicare rebates and private health insurance rebates apply.
