HypnoBirthing is a calm and gentle birthing method based on the belief that childbirth is a natural healthy event and therefore all babies could come into the world in a gentle, calm and joyful way.

This easy to follow course teaches you to have an easier, comfortable and loving birth.

This is achieved by deeply relaxing your body so that it works the way it was designed to work, birthing the baby in safety and with ease. You will be also learning about the physiology of the birth process and preparing yourself with techniques such as relaxation, self-hypnosis, breathing and attitude/expectancy to experience the joy and magic of birth by creating positive attitude.

I am so delighted to be able to share with you my own experiences and views on pregnancy and birth and the many adventures of parenthood.

My personal experience after bringing 2 of my own children into this world opened my eyes to the traditional maternity system and I became a passionate advocate for a natural, calm, and gentle pregnancy / birth.

I also became a firm believer in the power of information, choice and respect that every child, mother and father deserves.

My long background in holistic medicine (naturopathy and homoeopathy) has given me a greater understanding of the important healing role of the "mind, body and spirit" connection and once pregnant I began exploring the possibility of a truly rewarding and empowering birthing experience.

Once I discovered HypnoBirthing® I felt blessed to come across such a unique and powerful technique which was focusing on:

bringing the power back to our own bodies,
working as one with nature and
believing that birth is a natural, normal and healthy human experience and therefore can result in a truly satisfying event.

I also came to realise that focusing on potential birth problems throughout pregnancy distracts the mother-to-be from the more vital tasks of inner preparation.

Pregnancy and birth are sacred times in the life of every woman and man/partner and presents the greatest potential to tap into our own inner power and through peaceful birth, change generations for the better.

As a childbirth educator I help women to rediscover their own power within themselves and develop a calm and relaxed attitude to pregnancy, birthing and parenthood.

Veronika Scurr, the founder of Sacred Childbirth - HypnoBirthing® and Beyond, is passionate about promoting an holistic approach to life and childbirth. Veronika is an Hypnobirthing® Practitioner and is an affiliate of The Hypnobirthing® Institute. Veronika is also a Homoeopath, Naturopath, Nutritionist and has studied Botanical Medicine. She is also a Sacred Stone Massage Therapist, Rieki Therapist and a qualified Child Yoga Instuctor.

Veronika services the Illawarra Region however if you live outside the Illawarra Region arrangements can possibly be made to try to enable these classes to be performed by Veronika.
