Reiki Workshops

As a qualified Reiki Master, I also hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment while teaching the Usui Traditional Method of Reiki.

To work with Reiki, students must first undergo attunements for each available Reiki level. Attunements open up the flow of Reiki Energy. Once attuned, students are able to channel Reiki by laying on of hands.

Reiki Level One – during this one-day workshop, students undergo four (4) attunements, which help facilitate the Reiki energy. They also learn to practice Reiki on themselves and others. Each student receives a comprehensive manual and they complete the day with a certificate.

Reiki Level Two – Students must complete Reiki Level One with Panayiota as a prerequisite for Reiki Level Two. Here students undergo one attunement plus receive three symbols which help enhance their use of Reiki. Students receive a comprehensive manual with plenty of practice. A certificate completes the day. Students must have completed Reiki Level One at least two months prior to commencing Reiki Level Two.

Reiki Master Level – Reiki Levels One and Two are prerequisites for this workshop. These need to be completed by Panayiota in order to go ahead. During this workshop, students receive their final symbol, the Master Symbol, which not only enhances their Reiki experience, but affords them the opportunity to teach and attune their own students to Reiki themselves.

A long-term commitment to Reiki practice and philosophy is a must in order for any student to be considered for an attunement to become a Reiki Master. For this reason, it is a prerequisite that all Reiki workshops are done in order and by Panayiota. Following the completion of Reiki Level Two, a minimum of one year commitment is required and includes practice, both by way of professional practice as well as attending all scheduled Reiki Practice Nights. Anyone wanting to achieve their Reiki Master Level must consult with Panayiota first.

All Reiki Master Level workshops are scheduled at Panayiota's discretion.

A NEW take on the ancient pursuit of sacred art is the latest offering at Deagon’s own Gallery 4017 from Friday, April 5 to Tuesday, April 30.

‘Inspired by Angels’ is the work of artist, Panayiota (piicture right), a highly trained psychic medium and spiritual healer.

Panayiota has been exhibiting her paintings in Queensland and overseas since graduating from Towson State University (USA) with a BSc in Fine Arts in 1983.

For the last seven or eight years, she has been consciously combining her natural ability as a medium with painting – imbuing her artwork with positive angelic energy.

Like much sacred art, the works are richly coloured and highly textured, but these works are not representational or symbolic – they are abstract. They do not seek to control or direct the viewer, rather to provide a doorway to the inner self.

“No matter who looks at one of these paintings, they will be blessed with whatever message or messages they need at any given point in time.” Panayiota explains, “As I prepare the work, I connect with my Angels and Ascended Masters through meditation … I call upon them to be present from start to finish and ask them to infuse their goodness into every painting.”

Gallery 4017 is at 84-88 Loftus Street, Deagon. The exhibition opens at 6.30pm on Friday April 5. Gallery hours are Tuesday & Thursday 10:00-3:00, Friday & Saturday 10:00-1:00.

Panayiota's Sacred Art

Panayiota's interests in Visual Arts stem back to childhood where drawing and painting were her favourite pastime. As she grew older, this interest intensified and became a regular subject during your high school years. This, eventually, led her to completing a BS in Degree in Fine Arts at Towson State University, Towson, MD, USA (aka Towson University).

After university, her main focus was placed on earning a living so her artwork was put aside and it wasn't until she arrived back to Australia and settled in Brisbane in late 1989 that she decided to rekindle this passion.

Re-acquainting herself was fun as she took numerous drawing and painting classes, both in group and one-on-one sessions with local Brisbane artists.

Panayiota's first solo exhibition was in January, 1995 ... "Visions of a Soul" ... held at Doggett Street Studios, Fortitude Valley, Queensland. Since then, she has had numerous exhibitions, both solo and group and her work has been exhibited, not only locally, but both nationally and internationally.

In her endeavours to fulfill her dreams, Panayiota has also curated and co-exhibited with two individuals.

In December, 1997, Panayiota curated and co-exhibited with Jeanne Kelley-Hutchinson, Ceramicist, USA. This exhibition was titled ... "Elements of Nature" ... and was shown at the well-known Bauhaus Art Gallery, Brisbane, Queensland.

In February 1998, an opportunity opened up for her to curate and co-exhibit with her brother, Efthimios Harmantzis (visual artist) as part of the internationally renowned ... 1998 Adelaide Fringe Festival. Their exhibition was titled ... "Sibling Rivalry" ... and was shown at Cafe Picante, Adelaide, South Australia.

Panayiota's next exhibition is a real treat as her work since then has evolved into what she refer's to as Panayiota's Sacred Art. "Sacred" because in her capacity as a Psychic Medium, Panayiota works directly with her Guides, Angels and Holy Spirit to infuse her work with whatever energy is needed to help not on those who purchase her work, but anyone who simply views it as well.

As you know, Mia is an old cat (15) and she was struggling with several health complications and as a result was on four different types of medication.
