Sacred Space Massage - Ka Huna Massage
What is Ka Huna massage?
Beautiful, ancient Huna, or Hawaiian massage, originated in the South Pacific, and was traditionally passed down through generations from Kahuna, or healer, to student. Underlying the KaHuna massage is a set of philosophies that encompass our lives. There are Seven Principles of Huna philosophy.
IKE. The world is what you think it is. Be aware. It is how you look at life, and the world.
KALA. There are no limits. Be free and creative.
MAKIA. Energy flows where attention goes. Be focused.
MANAWA. Now is the moment of power. Be in the present.
ALOHA. To love is to be happy. Be happy and share happiness.
MANA. All power comes from within. Be confident and believe in yourself.
PONO. Effectiveness is the measure of truth. Be positive.
What to expect from your massage
Huna massage traditionally lends itself to long length body strokes using the hands and forearms. It is usually accompanied with rhythmic, soothing music, and warm massage oil, to offer you a unique, flowing and holistic massage. It is often experienced as a truly nurturing massage for body, mind and spirit.
The long length body strokes and beautiful underbody work, togther with the use of massage oil, make it more beneficial to remove all clothing and wrap yourself in the towel, or sarong provided. Your privacy will be assured at all times. If you would prefer, you can wear underwear also. A nurturing foot massage, and wash, whilst relaxing deeply on the table, completes your massage. A good Huna massage is a top to toe experience!
"Simone's Huna massage is a truly nurturing experience. Her Sacred Space full body massage blissed me out, leaving me with a sense of centredness, relaxation and rejuvenation. Thank you Simone, I can't wait for my next massage and to be able to share your healing powers by passing on gift cards for my friends and family to visit you." -Emma.
"My experiences have been somewhat transcendental in nature, a truly holistic encounter which nourish both the spirit and the body. Simone creates a portal through which we may visit the sacred." -Diana.
