SERVICES

Aromatherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist

David Webb is one of Australia's Leading Aromatherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists. He has been working in the Natural Therapies industry for 10 years, and enjoys clinic work as well as educating people about the benefits of massage, aromatherapy and chemicals in skincare. David is a qualified trainer in Aromatherapy and Massage for Queensland TAFE, Health Schools Australia and the International Centre of Holistic Aromatherapy. David presents seminars and workshops on integrating aromatherapy into all areas of life to professional business groups and the general public across Australia.

It is because of David's dedication to the industry and strong list of credentials that he is trusted by some of Australia's largest massage schools to train up and coming massage professionals.

Scentual NRG has extremely high standards when it comes to service and the level of treatment our clients receive. We strive on restoring your health and vitality as well as educating you on ways to increase your energy levels using our tailor made "Energy Oils". We take pride in our reputation of being the best the industry has to offer, otherwise we wouldn't train the professionals.

Money Back Guarantee

If your treatment does not live up to the standard we promise, we will give you your money back.

Unlike most clinics, we have a set fee for time. Regardless of whether you have a Remedial Massage or Aromatherapy Massage, you are charged the same fee for the time it takes to complete your treatment!

We don't spend time bragging about how good we are or how many celebrities we massage, we let our clients do this for us! We concentrate on the most important aspect of our business...YOU! We'll let you decide how good you think we are!

TESTIMONIAL

Good Morning Sunshines!

I just wanted to thank-you both for the exhilarating experience I had yesterday. The clinic and shop is an absolute credit to both of you and the feeling and energy there is quite amazing. I enjoyed every moment I was there which was probably obvious as I was there for ever. I'm absolutely thrilled with my salt crystal lamp and think I actually need another small one for my room. What an awesome combination you both are with your varied skills.

Anyway thanks again for the euphoric experience and I can't wait till next time.

Di (Gold Coast)

David Webb is a professional massage therapist and practitioner who “knows his craft”. As a practitioner myself I am very particular as to who works on my body. David takes his time in the initial consultation to learn about your body and from then he knows your body and how to restore it back to good health. David’s clinical and teaching experience makes him capable of giving a treatment that not only works on the symptom but also the causes behind it.

In these crazy stressful times I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to find a little place of peace where self indulgence is not only valued but encouraged. I have been a happy and satisfied client of Scentual NRG since moving to the Gold Coast. David’s therapeutic touch and the benefits of a massage from him are something that I look forward to and always enjoy. My only complaint is that the sessions end and that other commitments stop me from having a weekly massage…one day I dream. As great as it is, it is not just David’s technique that benefits me, it’s also about the overall ambiance and the way that the whole experience is geared to making you feel like a Princess. In fact, the Scentual NRG experience is so good that I have recommended it to several friends and family members whose needs range from deep tissue massage to soothe aching triathlon muscles to gentle touch for tired, creaking old arthritic joints. It goes to prove that no matter what your body needs the Scentual NRG team have the answer and better still it’s all delivered in their wonderfully smelling and relaxing environment. Proud to support you guys.

  • AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

  • Aromatherapy uses essential oils from plants to heal, alleviate pain and regulate mood. Essential oils are a volatile, highly concentrated plant extract, derived from leaves, bark, roots, seeds resins and flowers. Aromatherapy massage uses these essential oils, but they can also be used in hydrotherapy baths, facials and body treatments.

In an aromatherapy massage, essential oils are usually mixed with a carrier oil like sweet almond, apricot kernel, or grapeseed oil. The therapist use up to five oils in a mixture, and chooses the oils based on what you need. A relaxing aromatherapy massage, for instance, might have lavender or bergamot, while a massage for sore muscles might include peppermint and eucalyptus.

Aromatherapy should not be confused with fragrances or perfume oils. Fragrances are often made from chemicals, and lack the therapeutic properties of essential oils. So remember, just because someone lights a scented candle doesn't make it aromatherapy!

  • REMEDIAL MASSAGE

  • Remedial massage focuses on treating injuries, muscular aches and pains and postural imbalances. When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted and tense or immobile.

Key benefits include stimulation to the blood supply, allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed, the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort, and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility. An improvement to the health of the cells, the repairing of tissues, and the easing of stiffness and tension are also achieved.

  • SWEDISH MASSAGE

  • Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management.

  • PREGNANCY MASSAGE

  • Pregnancy massage has long been known to help expectant mothers feel better, and a new study shows it may well provide an even more important benefit - reducing the risk of premature births.

According to the study's findings, body massage for pregnant women by their "significant others" led to reduced levels of stress hormones in the mother and thereby increased the likelihood of a successful full-term pregnancy. The Johnson & Johnson Pediatric Institute, L.L.C., the National Institute of Mental Health and the March of Dimes supported the study.

The research found that in addition to relaxing the mother, massage might bring into better balance stress hormones including cortisol and norepinephrine. Elevated stress hormones can lead to complications during pregnancy including low birth weight and even miscarriage.

People are usually suprised to learn that David was employed in the army as a Field Engineer for nine years and gained the rank of Sargeant. It was during this time that he injured his back building a bridge. As a result of this injury, David explored the alternatives of using Massage, Aromatherapy and Chiropractic treatments for pain management.

David studied Remedial Massage whilst still in the army and was discharged in 1998. David now runs a thriving business on the Gold Coast specialising in Aromatherapy, Massage and Natural Skincare and recently published his first book, "Essential Man/Essential Woman - A Guide to Using Aromatherapy for Men and Woman".
