EAR CANDLING:
A safe and effective way to draw out excess wax from the external ear canal. The candle creates a low level vacuum that draws ear wax and other debris out of the ear canal and into the hollow candle out. After the procedure a dark, waxy substance is usually left in the stub of the candle. Ear candling can assist with the symptoms of sinus and hearing difficulties.

A series of specific moves over muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints and facia, trigger a profound healing response in the body due to an increased blood flow thoughout the body.Muscle tension is greatly reduced, therfore allowing the skeletal and muscular systems to re-align.
HOW DOES MASSAGE INCREASE ENERGY LEVELS AND HELP RESTORE THE PHYSIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF STREES?
In a healthy non-stressed skeletal muscle, all the fibres of that muscle contract then relax upon motion. When we are under stress physically, mentally or emotionally, this has an effect on the tone of skeletal muscles. Stress produces “abnormal muscle contraction” termed a myofacial trigger point or a “hyperirritable focus”, that is painful upon compression and can give rise to characteristic referred pain and tenderness. If left untreated they will cause the muscle to fatigue. This can progress to a muscle spasm or cramp.
These occur because the contractile elements within the muscles remain in a state of contraction, while the remainder of the muscle continues to contract and relax in the normal manner. The trigger point or microtear is a small area within the muscle which has been strained by overload to tear the sarcoplasmic reticilum or outside covering of the muscle fibril.
The sarcoplasmic reticulum stores calcium, ions which are the mediators for initiating the muscle fibres to contract under the stimulus from a nerve impulse. However the microtear allows the calcium to leak creating a chemical reaction between the actin and myosin which are the contractile elements of skeletal muscle, this causes the constant local contraction. Which restricts the normal blood flow, therefore the muscle is not receiving nutrients and oxygen and is not metabolizing metabolic wastes.
The uncontrolled contraction also leads to a continuous “energy demand”. By de-activating the trigger points through soft tissue manipulation the healing of the microtears can occur. This also redeems blood supply, oxygen, nutrient and waste exchange to the ischemic muscle fibres. Therefore restoring integrity to skeletal muscle and increasing energy levels.
