In doing so it is important to look at all three aspects of balance physical, emotional and nutritional. If all are in balance then a person can exists in a state of optimal health or life force (homoeostasis)!
The truth is most of the time no one achieves this perfection. When one of these three aspects are out of balance then other areas will begin to compensate. For example someone in a constant state of emotional stress may have results in a negative influence in nutritional intake, by which the nervous system turns further in balances which may cause tension of the physical skeletal and smooth muscles. Today we are under a constant state of stress all day long in often more than one of the three aspects and therefore it is important to maintain and achieve significant balance in all areas.
Bowen and Kinesiology will assist in helping you maitain this balance by switching the nervous system to allow you to recover. A person who is in constant state of stress could compromise their health eventually. Most of the time we are not aware of this stress in our bodies as we are too busy. To prevent this from happening it is imprtnant to balance the body regularly.
Tanya believes the body has an amazing ability to heal it self naturally given the right conditions and circumstances and not violating the 8 laws of health! (Nutrition, exercise, water, sunshine, temperance, air, rest, trust in divine power!) It is through her own personal experience in over coming various health issues that Tanya can now help assist others to better their health and wellbeing by taking positive steps in the right direction. It all begins with the first step and the rest follows.

Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy can provide relief for many types of injuries and health problems, both acute and chronic, and it does so holistically, via the body’s innate healing mechanisms.
The practitioner’s moves deliver signals to the nervous system at specific locations (on muscles, tendons, ligaments, or nerves), and the body responds in its own time.
Bowen Technique is appropriate for people of all ages, in all states of health. Rather than focusing on a single complaint, Bowen Technique addresses the entire body, by restoring balance via the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS controls over 80% of bodily functions and is very susceptible to external stresses.
Most people today live in a constant state of high stress and sympathetic ANS over-stimulation (“fight, flight or freeze mode”). Healing can occur only after the ANS shifts from sympathetic to parasympathetic dominance (“rest, relax and repair mode”). Bowen Technique enables that shift.
Kinesiology
Kinesiology is a sience developed by doctors, chiropractors and acupuncturists which studies, body movement. Originated in the 1960's, it combines western techniques with eastern wisdom to amazingly balance the body so that it can return to excellent health structural, chemical and emotional.
It stands apart from any other type of health technology largely due to its revolutionary use of muscle testing that has systems that help to balance these factors, so that your body can return to energetic efficiency and heal itself.
When we buy a car we receive an owner's manual that tells us how to look after the car. Many of our health problems come from the fact that we were never given an owner's manual to tell us how to look after our bodies. Kinesiology gives us a manual that can help tell us what we need to do to correct problems, and what we also need to do to prevent problems from occurring.
Put simply, kinesiology is a non-invasive method using muscle feedback and body awareness, that can help you to reduce stress and pain, improve performance at school, work and home, in sports, in relationships, and promote health and well-being in any area of your life.
Kinesiology is defined primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's structural, chemical, emotional or other energy, to establish the body's priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and non-manual therapeutic procedures.

As a regular bike rider and commuter I do 200+ kms every week. Tanya’s Bowen Therapy has helps enormously in my recovery in areas such as my back and knees especially after heavy rides. The next day my legs feel fresh like they have been well rested!
As a kitesurfer minor injuries are common, most recently I suffered a sprained ankle (which is common for me) and the pain at one time became extremely unbearable and I started to reach for a large dose of painkillers, but instead Tanya did some kinesiology that helped manage the pain which miraculously subsides after about an hour. Tanya used a Bowen technique to accelerate the healing and strap up the ankle which recovered within a couple of days.

I came in to be treated for pain in my wrist from constantly using a computer mouse at work. After just one hour of treatment I experienced a noticeable reduction in pain and a better mobility. It was surprising! Particularly as the treatment is non invasive and very gentle. Although initially a skeptic of Bowen Therapy, I would now fully recommend it to any person who is suffering from a number of ailments.

As a working wife and mother of 2 I live a very busy life. Tanya’s Bowen Therapy has helped enormously with pain suffered from my Scoliosis (curvature of the spine of 23 degrees) and a continuous problem neck and shoulders from long hours working on the computer. It helped with the pain and recovery which I found to be useful for me to get on with my daily routines.

After suffering server shoulder pain for some time, and not being able to lift my arm up to my head, I sort to get treatment with some Bowen Therapy. After receiving the treatment and doing some recommended exercise, I can now lift my arm above my head without any effort. I would certainly have Bowen Therapy again if and when I require it.
