The Origin of Reiki
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words Rei and Ki. Rei means "Universal higher power" and Ki means "Life-force energy". (pronounced "ray-kee")
This natural healing system was re-descovered by Dr.Mikao Usui a Japanese Buddhist in the early 20th century. Reiki is not a religion or a belief system it can be used on any person requiring healing, regardless of their beliefs.

Reiki is an holistic treatment that works on all aspects of the person stimulating the body's own ability to heal anything from physical conditions to emotional problems.
The Reiki Practitioner has access to universal energy. This lovely energy flows from the practitioner to the recipient, re-balancing any areas where it is needed, clearing anxiety and stress and helping any emotional issues that may be challenging to us.
Each Reiki healing treatment is unique and deeply relaxing, all will have a different experience during a treatment.

My name is Amanda and I am originally from the UK. I have been to Australia many times and have found my heart lies here on the beautiful Gold Coast.
My journey in alternative therapies started along time ago when I was a child. My parents would always try something natural before turning to conventional medicine. Acupunture, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Kinesiology, hypnotherapy were all in our lives. We also grew up around Yoga and Aikedo and understood how important Ki and Chi were in our lives. It was inevitable that I would turn to alternative therapies myself.
Reiki has been in my life for the last 5 yrs, and has made such a difference in my own families life.
Being a channel for Reiki has been such a privilage and has brought such satifaction and fulfilment. My life is better for Reiki and I cannot imagine being without it.
Reiki has lead me down new paths on my journey, I have interests in mediumship, Tarot, crystals and meditation.

Reiki is a hands on healing technique, a natural and simple healing method which enables the recipient to absorb more life-force energy. The energy has a calming effect on the body inducing feelings of relaxation, therefore stimulating the body's own ability to heal anything from physical conditions to mental and emotional problems.
Reiki increases awareness and intuition~Balances and amplifies energy~ Helps creativity flow~Strengthens immune system~Heals the whole person~Clears anxiety and releases stress~Balances hormonal system~Works on the causal level of illness or disease.
The energy will cleanse the aura of negative and stagnant energy to rebalance the chakras (energy centres) to enable the energy (chi) to move freely again. This nourishes the spiritual and physical bodies of a person through the organs, glands and every cell in the body.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive treatment suitable for all ages from newborn babies to the very elderly. It can treat a wide range of health conditions and also helps to lighten the whole self on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. You will benefit from Reiki whatever your level of health.
Reiki promotes deep relaxation and releases blockages within the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Release of tension and blockages then allow the natural flow of energy through the body,releasing toxins and waste products as the blockages leave. Once the blockages are removed the person can then recieve, hold and store more energy in the body, accelerating one's energy vibration.
What Happens During a Treatment?
There is a consultation before the treatment which lasts around 15 minutes and gives you the opportunity to discuss your needs, to give a brief medical history and a chance to ask any questions.
The recipient remains fully clothed either lying on a couch or sitting in a chair. A couch treatment will take approximately an hour and a chair treatment will be around half an hour. The Practitioner lightly places their hands on or over the body. The recipient instinctively draws in only as much energy as is needed.
During a treatment you may feel energy sensations such as tingling, warmth, coolness or simply a feeling of peace and calm. Each Reiki treatment is unique and deeply relaxing.
How Many Treatments do I Need?
A single Reiki treatment can make a difference, although a course of regular treatments may be more effective. This will be discussed following your treatment.

Full Treatment (1 hour with 15 minute consultation) - $60
Short Treatment (30 minutes with 15 minute consultation) - $35

I can accept payment by cash or cheque.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, 50% of the fee will be charged.
Missed appointments incur a 50% charge.
All charges are made at the therapists discretion.
Confidentiality
Privacy is assured at all times and all information is held in strict confidence.
Reiki Workshops
Reiki Level 1
For self healing and for family and friends
Attunements to the Usui Reiki level 1 energy
This is generally a one and a half day workshop but can be customised to accommodate your needs.
The cost of this investment is $155 for the full workshop and ongoing support.
Certificate with lineage is given upon completion of the course.
Reiki Level 2 - Practitioner
To be eligible for this course students should have completed Reiki level 1 with a qualified Reiki Master.
Reiki Level 2 is the level of training at which you can start practising on a professional basis.
This is generally a two day workshop but can be customised to accommodate your needs.
The cost of this investment is $225 for the full workshop and ongoing support.
Certificate is awarded on completion of case studies.
Reiki Level 3 - Master Practitioner
To be eligible for this course students should have a Reiki level 2 certificate from a qualified Reiki Master.
Attunement to the Usui Reiki Level 3 energy
This is generally a two day workshop but can be customised to accommodate your needs.
The cost of this investmentis $280 for the full workshop and ongoing support.
Certificate awarded on completion of the learning journal.
Reiki Level 4 -Master Teacher
To be eligible for this course students should have a Reiki level 3 certificate from a qualified Reiki Master.
Reiki attunement symbols
This is generally a two day workshop but can be customised to accommodate your needs.
The cost of this investment is $350 for the full workshop and ongoing support.
Certificate will be awarded on successful demonstration of Reiki attunements and understanding of the teaching element.
