WHAT IS SCENAR THERAPY?
S.C.E.N.A.R - is an acronym for Self- Controlled Energy Neuro-Adaptive Regulator. Scenar is an holistic form of therapy, which stimulates the nervous system & teaches it to heal itself. It represents a new approach, which marries orthodox Western medical practice and electronic technology with the traditional knowledge of the Far East. Scenar is a hand-held, two-way, bio-feedback device & its reflex biofeedback interactively stimulates & intelligently prompts problem areas (asymmetries) to relieve pain & accelerate self-healing.
WHERE IS IT FROM?
It was developed in the first instance for the Russian space program to overcome the unique problems of space travel. A team of doctors and scientists in the 1970s developed a method of treatment that was energy efficient, multi-applicable & portable. It is not an experimental device: in the UK it is licensed by the British Standards Institute and in Russia it has been authorised for clinical use by the Health Ministry of Russia in 1986. In Australia it is registered as a medical device with the Therapeutic Goods Association and is being used in many medical institutes. There have also been clinical studies conducted at the Macquarie University with excellent results.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Scenar acts non-invasively through the skin and activates nearly all systems throughout the body. Electrical impulses, the parameters of which are similar to endogenous nerve impulses, are transmitted through the skin to the nervous system. Each impulse is different from the previous one as it changes according to the body's responses. It is in continuous two-way communication with the body. It also gives high amplitude signals. It thereby stimulates specific C-nerve fibres, which are responsible for the production of many different neurotransmitters (neuropeptides and many other regulatory peptides) which are the bodies healing
chemical. Serotonin and Opiate, our body's natural painkillers, are also activated and
delivered into the bloodstream. These biochemicals re-establish the body's natural physiological state and are responsible for the healing process. As these biochemicals last up to several hours or more, the healing process will continue long after the treatment is over.
The effects of this change in chemistry on the Central Nervous System will also result in the treatment of one area aiding with the treatment of other imbalances. This goes some way to explaining how old and often forgotten problems are brought to the surface for treatment.
WHAT CONDITIONS CAN SCENAR TREAT?
As biofeedback technology Scenar doesn't treat any condition itself, but stimulates the natural healing processes of the body. The most pronounced effect after application is pain relief of any origin, which lasts a lot longer than use of regular means of pain control. Worldwide, many health practitioners currently use the device as their principal instrument of treatment. As well as being used on most types of disorders or injuries of the muscular-skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and genital, neurological, skin and dental systems, it has also been found to be beneficial with endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disorders and stress and depression. The Scenar is further credited with vastly reducing recovery times. In accident and emergency wards its ability to aid recovery is used to help those with burns, fractures, insect bites, allergic reactions, cardiac arrest, trauma, coma and many types of sports injuries.
IS IT SAFE?
As the Scenar impulse is similar to endogenous nerve impulses, it is non-damaging and safe. Only people with cardiac pacemakers are not allowed to receive scenar treatment. Children can be treated and animals.
TREATMENT
After a client assessment, Scenar treatment will be performed according to the patient's needs. The Scenar device runs over the spine or affected area and a tingling/stroking sensation will be felt. Patients having Scenar treatment also need to take responsibility for their health themselves and are advised to participate actively in the treatment and recovery process. The treatment may take up to one hour and patients generally experience an increase in energy, more refreshing sleep and an improved sense of well-being.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TREATMENT? In order to create a sufficient flow of circulating regulative peptides, Scenar action must be given more frequently at the beginning of the course of treatments. As one improves the frequency can be gradually reduced. Treatment will vary from individual to individual and will depend on pathological process, person's age, overall state of health, lifestyle and if a chronic or acute condition.

My name is Sally Fenner and I am well qualified, having gained Honours in a Bachelor of Science
Degree (Sports Science) followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiology (PGCP - half the credits for MSc). Whilst studying for my degree I also gained a Diploma in Sports Therapy and Remedial Massage adding to my Swedish & Therapeutic & Myofascial Release Massage qualifications.
I trained with the Paediatrician, Zulia Frost, in Scenar Therapy, in London.
I have also worked for the British Olympic Sailing Team as an applied Sports Physiologist and Massage Therapist and worked for the NRL Teams in Wollongong and Cronulla. (Dragons and Sharks)
CASE STUDIES
Female 30 yr old - nutritionist for Olympic Boxing Team had not been menstruating for 6 yrs – doctors could not diagnose why but said ‘you are not producing hormones and therefore cannot conceive’. After two sessions with Scenar the client’s menstrual cycle returned to normal. The client was so impressed she also trained in Scenar & is now a practicing therapist in the UK.
Male 35 yr old – an ex-army officer currently lecturing sports science at University suffering from asthma and sinusitis had been on a steroid inhaler for 5 yrs. One session of Scenar cleared his sinuses and after a second session he has not had to use his steroid inhaler for asthma again.
Male 29 yr old – injured during an endurance competition was diagnosed by his physiotherapist with an herniated (slipped) disc. Secnar is naturally anti-inflammatory and after only 4 sessions the need for an operation was prevented because the swelling was reduced and the protrusion of the disc was reversed.

Animal Case Study #1
Successful treatment of racehorse – after 6 months of unsuccessful conventional treatment for tendon damage scenar was applied and after four sessions the horse was no longer lame and back in training.
Animal Case Study # 2
Successful treatment of arthritis in dog’s back leg – pet dog’s arthritis in back leg became so severe the dog could barely walk. After several scenar sessions the dog was able to move around more freely and was obviously in less pain.
