Ayurveda, is an age old science of Indian medicine, which means "science of life". Although it goes back 4,000 years in written script, the origins of this ancient science is said to be over 40,000 years old!
Ayurveda has specified ways in which Aromatics, diet, herbs and even cosmetics could help to sustain mental equilibrium, as the good mind is of utmost importance for the physical, emotional and spiritual well being. These oils are very beneficial for beauty and skincare and also compliment other various ailments.
For beauty and daily body care, flowers and oils have always been used by Indian women. They decorate their hair with these aromatic flowers and oils to enhance their sensuality. In the past, they would dry their long locks by spreading them over sweet-scented, heated stones. The aroma from the steam would then infuse into the hair, leaving it refreshed, rejuvenated and fragranced. Till today Indian wedding ceremonies use special oils and powders which are freshly extracted from the sweet-scented exotic flowers (like the rose, champa, chameli, mogra, kewda jasmine) and are used on the bride-to-be. A herbal paste is applied for a specific period of time to prepare her for the wedding ceremony.

The philosophy of this ancient science is still practiced today in Indian households. Subtle Energies are reviving the science of using rare and unique essential oils and attars, as most Ayurvedic Institutes and Pharmacies use decoctions and infusions of the herbs.

The Indian science of Ayurveda Aromatherapy is based on inherited genetic constitution or Prakruti. All humans are oriented either to gas, bile or phlegm and can be categorised within the following personality types, or Doshas: Vata, Pitta & Kapha. Due to over-indulgence in food and lifestyle, sensuous pleasures and trauma, toxins accumulate in the bile and blood, resulting in ailments, ageing and, ultimately, creating an imbalance in the individual's Prakruti. Ayurveda and Ayurveda Aromatherapy aims to maintain one's original genetic blue print.

Chakra Blends

'Chakra' is a Sanskrit word, which means 'wheel'. In an individual, energy flows vertically from the base of the spine to the top of the head and goes through the specific Chakras (or churning wheels), which are the focal points of cosmic energy. Subtle Energies Chakra Blends have been carefully formulated using our unique range of Ayurveda Aromatherapy essential and base oils. Our Chakra Blend Kit includes seven blends, one for each chakra, as well as an Aura protection blend. Ayurveda Herbal Oil Decoctions and Food Supplements

Subtle Energies provide an extensive range of authentic Herbal Oil Decoctions and Food Supplements including:

Narayan Oil: This herbal decoction is excellent for Vata and Kapha disorders and should be massaged in half an hour before a warm shower. The Narayan is excellent for MS as it has the Ashwagandha and the Sesame in it. The oil helps in muscular pains and spasms, besides toning the muscles. It is also good for arthritis, asthma, for enemas (basti), oleation therapy (massage), and paralysis. It helps the nervous system greatly as the nervous system is governed by Vata.

Chandanbala Lakshadi Oil: This is an ideal oil for Pitta disorders as it has a lot of cooling herbs and flowers in it. It is used in muscular weakness and for massaging children to tone up their muscles.

Anu Taila Oil: The Anu Taila is a nasal oil used for centuries in Ayurveda with the Nasya technique. Nasya is the application of oils and Ghee (clarified butter) in the nasal passage. It is excellent for sinus relief.

Madhavi Taila Oil: Madhavi oil is very beneficial for hair growth and to prevent hair loss
