Simply Natural Massage Therapy - Our Services

Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a combination of different massage treatments specifically designed for the individual. The aim is to alleviate pain and muscle spasm, relieve inflammation and soft tissue damage, increase range of motion and flexibility and improve your general health. Effleurage, sports, trigger point, cupping and stretching techniques can be used.

Deep tissue / sports
Deep tissue or sports massage is a firmer, deeper massage with the desired outcome of the person returning back to work or sport with a better level of function. Techniques such as effleurage, trigger point therapy and stretching are used.

Trigger point therapy
Trigger points are areas of hyper-irritability in the soft tissue. They are felt beneath the skin surface as small knots in the muscles which can cause referred pain or muscle spasm. A firm pressure is applied to the trigger point or knot by using the thumbs until it has released from the muscle. Trigger point therapy is used in combination with remedial and sports massage.

Pregnancy massage
A gentle massage geared to relieving the muscle cramps, spasms and pain often encountered in the lower back, neck, hips and legs during pregnancy. Safe semi-reclined and side-to-side positioning with body pillows for extra comfort.

Relaxation / aromatherapy massage
A gentle full body massage with essential oils aimed at reducing stress and stimulating circulation. Improves muscle tone and promotes total mind and body relaxation. Includes face, head and foot massage. A great massage to experience if you have never had a massage before. Great also for gift vouchers. Minimum 60 minute treatment recommended.

Cupping
Cupping is used to expel toxins from areas of pain and tightness by using glass or plastic suction cups. They are either placed in a stationary position over the tight muscle or glide over the area of concern. Traditionally they are place on the back and shoulders, but can be used on some other areas of the body in conjunction with regular massage techniques. Will sometimes leave a red circle that may last up to a week. Not recommended for the elderly or if you are pregnant.

Hot stone therapy
Penetrating heat from smooth oiled and warmed stones are massaged over the whole body relieving tense muscles and sore joints. The heat from the stones allows a deeper penetrating massage. Combined with swedish massage techniques, this creates and unforgettable, thoroughly relaxing experience. Not recommended for the elderly or if you are pregnant.

Seated or corporate massage
An efficient, fully clothed massage that improves circulation, stimulates muscles and reduces tension in the neck, back , shoulders and arms. A session lasts 15 minutes and has been proven to improve alertness and productivity as well as resulting in improved company morale and less absence. *Special rates available for regular business locations.
