Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine: Health through balance
SERVICES Welcome
I would like to share a little about what the amazing world of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can offer.
Acupuncture has always helped me. With regular acupuncture I have been able to manage such conditions as sinusitis, hayfever, migraines and headaches, muscle sprains and strains, and sugar cravings.
So why does this form of medicine work so well?
At the heart of it, it is all about balance.
Consider how day and night balance each other, hot and cold, dry and wet, old and young, the list goes on. All of these things occur in relation to one another. They balance each other.
Balance is such a simple idea, and for much of the time we hold the balance well, juggling all that is required of us in the ever-increasing pace of our lives.
Health is not static, it does not stand still, it is an active, dynamic interplay between ourselves and the environment we live in.
Occasionally help may be required to get the balance back, or to shift the balance when making positive changes.
The effective healing practices of Traditional Chinese medicine help re-establish the balance in body, mind and spirit, as it is needed.
Who can come for treatment?

Whatever your reason, you are very welcome to drop in for a visit or call for a chat.

What might a treatment involve?
Treatment may involve therapies such as:
Acupuncture: this involves the use of fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body.
LASER Acupuncture: this is the same as conventional acupuncture, but without the needles. It can be used in conjunction with regular acupuncture and is an excellent adjunct treatment for conditions involving muscle strains or tears. LASER can also be used as a stand alone therapy. A great alternative for those with needle phobia!
Auricular Therapy: uses a unique system of acupuncture points on the ears. Auricular (ear) points are stimulated using therapeutic ear seeds
Moxibustion: is a gentle warming technique used to treat acupuncture points that have become cold.
Guasha & Cupping: are methods of treatment used to relieve longstanding muscle aches and pains.
Herbal Medicine: involves the use of natural herbal & mineral substances.
Lifestyle Management: this is considered an important component of health maintenance. Discussion during consultation will address such things as diet, exercise and stress management.
