Massage is a holistic treatment for the whole body as well as the area being treated. The primary aid of massage is to find and treat the cause of the disorder, not only the symptoms. Massage is one of the most effective and natural treatments for stress related conditions and has been shown to stimulate the body’s ability to control pain naturally, stimulating the brain to produce endorphins, the body’s own natural chemicals which control pain.

    Some of the benefits include

  • Reducing anxieties
  • Eases tension/pain/stiffness
  • Enhances wellbeing
  • Improves circulation
  • Bowel sluggishness

    REFLEXOLOGY

Foot reflexology is a method of activating the healing powers of the body. This ancient technique identifies zones in the feet & hands which correspond to all major organs, glands and body parts. By working on different zones of the feet Reflexology can help reduce stress by generating deep, tranquil relaxation, Reflex. allows the body to balance itself and allow healing energy to flow smoothly and genty throughout.

    Some benefits include:

  • Relieves stress/tension
  • Improves blood supply and promotes the unblocking of nerve impulses
  • Achieve homeostasis.
  • Peristalsis of bowels

    POSITIONAL RELEASE

A gentle method of eliminating or decreasing pain for acute or chronic injuries also known as the “fold and Hold” technique. Involves finding positions of comfort, thereby releasing muscle spasms. Can readily be incorporated with other modalities and can be carried out wearing loose clothing.

    Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) designed to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system. This is achieved through very gentle, rhythmical movements of the skin which stimulate the contractions of the lymphatic vessels. From this specialized massage a greater amount of the metabolic waste products and excess fluid are being removed from the body’s tissues and enter the lymphatic system. A well functioning lymph system contributes to healthy body tissue and plays an important part in the body’s immune system responses.

MLD can be applied to many different conditions and works also as a preventative measure to enhance your well being. It has a calming effect on the ANS that leaves you deeply relaxed, improving the quality of your sleep. MLD is non invasive method with deep/relaxing effects.

    Some benefits include:

  • Extensive dental work/root canal, extraction of wisdom teeth
  • Implant treatment
  • Swelling of all extremities.
  • Chronic fatigue

    Myofascial Release

Myofascial release (MFR) is a therapeutic treatment utilizing a gentle form of stretching effect to relieve tension and muscular aches, particularly related to postural problems. A very gentle, powerful technique which allows us to treat soft tissue dysfunction that does not respond to other methods .

Malfunction of the fascia system can be due to trauma, posture, or inflammation and can create a binding down of the fascia, resulting in abnormal pressure on nerves, muscles, bones or organs. This can create pain or malfunction throughout the body, sometimes with bizarre side effects and seemingly unrelated symptoms.

    Reiki

Reiki, meaning “Universal Life Energy”, the vital, creative force that flows through everything.

    Some benefits include:

  • Reducing stress and anxiety levels
  • Increased confidence and ehthusiasm for life
  • Excellent when recovering from illness and injury.

Reiki is a complete healing support system in itself, and because it works at a high energy level, it does not interfere with other systems of treatment and, in fact, compliments them.. Whether used in conjunction with either traditional medical treatment or natural therapies, the positive effects of the treatment are emphasized and side effects are reduced.
