We know how during pregnancy there can be a tendency for others to think that your body is public property - that it can be patted, discussed and commented on, even by strangers. Our therapists, both female and male, are experienced in pregnancy massage. With your comfort and concerns uppermost, our massage is tailored to suit your individual needs.
The changes your body is going through can produce muscular pain and soreness. Massage can be of benefit by:- relieving pain in the neck, upper and lower back, hip and buttock(sciatica).
- relaxing leg muscles, which in turn helps reduce leg cramps.

You have the option of a table or seated massage.
Table massage is more appropriate when it is easy for you to lie on your, back and stomach. You will supported by pillows as you lie on your stomach, back or side. At all times your comfort comes first.
When the pregnancy is more advanced and getting onto the table, let alone lying on the table, is difficult, we recommend the side lying or seated massage. The seated massage involves you sitting at the side of the table with your head comfortably resting on pillows. You will be draped so that only the part of your body being massaged is uncovered.
In this position your back,neck,shoulders,arms and legs can be easily massaged.
For your convenience, our pregnancy massage is available seven days a week. Health fund rebates are also available.
We do, however, suggest that if you are in any doubt about having a massage while pregnant, that you consult your doctor.
MASSAGE FOR CANCER
Comfort-oriented massage can safely be given to people at any stage of their cancer. Comfort-oriented massage, is any form of systematic touch. We need to get away from the idea that massage is only about working on tight muscles, detoxifying or assisting with recovery from injury. There will always be some form of massage (with the right modifications) that can be given to a cancer patient. It can even be given when the person is receiving chemotherapy, or before or after radiation therapy.
Indeed, rather than being harmful, massage offers many benefits for the cancer patient.
Massage can help diminish the side effects of conventional cancer treatments, and improve quality of life. Scientific research shows that massage can reduce:- fatigue
- pain
- anxiety
- depression
- nausea.
A nurturing massage can help the person feel whole again, re-establish a positive body image,and rebuild hope. A nurturing massage can be given by family or friends as well as by a professional therapist.
Tony has a special interest in Oncology massage and is one of a growing number of massage therapists in Australia who have undertaken further studies in Oncology Massage
