Combining the therapeutic modalites of Remedial Massage with the slow, flowing strokes of Relaxation Massage, Synergy's Signature Massage Treatment focuses on you as an entirety, working to reduce muscular aches and pains and relieving mental and emotional stresses. This treatment is a cut above the rest, taking 7 years to perfect. Using a select repertoire of traditional strokes and techniques carefully delivered in a perfected sequence our Signature Massage Treatment gives you a complete sense of balance and rejuvenation.
Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is performed using a combination of trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage techniques. Other modalities including cupping therapy, corrective exercises and stretches may also be implemented to further enchance your recovery process. Typically aimed at a specific complaint, Remedial Massage at Synergy also focuses on calming the mind and relaxing the senses.

While pregnancy is a beautiful period of heightened expectation and joy, expectant mums also endure heightened physical discomfort that ranges from muscular tension and headaches to general fatigue. Pregnancy Massage at Synergy is conducted in a peaceful and nurturing setting allowing mothers-to-be to fully relax, whilst a perfected repertoire of soft and deep massage techniques addresses aching and tired muscles and restores balance and wellbeing.
Although pregnancy massage is not contraindicated during the first trimester, we do recommend you wait until your are 13 weeks gestation before booking an appointment.

This unique treatment combines the long, rythmic strokes of Hawaiian style massage with the gliding of hot stones on the body and is able to address the many levels of healing necessary to help restore balance in the mind, body and soul.
The stones we use are from New Zealand and are selected from the mouths of creeks that run into the ocean. This relationship between the flowing fresh water from the creek and the movement of the ocean gives the stones their smooth and soft contours.
You will love the feel and energy of these natural-grounding tools.

Indian Head Massage is a deeply relaxing massage involving the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck and the head. It relaxes the layer of muscle covering the head, improving blood flow, nourishing the scalp and alleviating stress and anxiety.
The head, neck and shoulders are all energy centres, where tension is most likely to accumulate. They are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure begins to fade.

Ear Candling at Synergy is a blissful experience. Your treatment begins by restoring inner balance with a personalised blend of wildflower essences and continues with a soothing facial massage, using a beautiful blend of aromatherapy, to encourage drainage of the facial passages.
We then proceed with the process of drawing out accumulated wax and fungus from deep within the ear by placing a long, specially made candle in your ear canal.
Some of the excess wax and fungus is burnt off, but much is collected in the base of the candle... Expect to be amazed at what has been collected in the candle.

Shirodhara is part of Panchakarma treatment (Ayurvedic detoxification process). It involves a steady stream of warm oil being gently poured on the 3rd eye - centre of the forehead just between the eyebrows. This calming process saturates the head with the warm oil, soothing the peripheral nerves around the scalp and aiding in deep relaxation.
Shirodhara is suitable for everyone. Those who suffer from stress, depression, anxiety, anger, irritability, insomnia, difficulties sleeping and headaches will benefit greatly from this treatment.

About Melanie
Melanie was propelled into the world of health and wellbeing by her many years as a dancer. "After subjecting my body to countless hours of demanding dance classes and watching my fellow dancers put their bodies through the same wear and tear my facination with the human body, it's resilience and movement, grew."
With a soft and caring nature, Melanie found Myotherapy, a holistic form of corrective therapy, was perfect for addressing her need to assist in the recovery of muscular injuries as well as allowing her to give a treatment that calms the mind and relaxes the senses.
As her career flourished, her desire to expand her skills and give her clients an endless array of natural treatments led her to study advanced facial therapy, hot stone massage and ear candling, plus a number of other beautiful holistic therapies.
Melanie uses a combination of deep and soft tissue massage techniques throughout all of her treatments, including facials, to ensure every aspect of you, being mind, body and spirit is nurtured. "I never leave the room during a treatment. My full focus is on you, making certain your every need is addressed and you are the most comfortable and relaxed you can possibly be."
Melanie's focus is now on holistic Spa Therapies and Facials and after experiencing a treatment, you will notice the difference; mentally, physically and emotionally as you draw on the passion and energy that Melanie has for her work.

About Nikki
Nikki, a qualified Relaxation and Remedial Massage Therapist, has become a valued member of the Synergy team. She is passionate and focused and looks forward to easing your muscular tension, aches and pains.
Having completed the 6-month Certificate IV course in Relaxation Massage with first class Honours, Nikki continued to further her education and recently qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist after acheiving excellent results in the 18-month Diploma course. Nikki has also endured over 40 hours of extremely intense training under Melanie, owner of Synergy, and is fully capable of performing Synergy's beautiful Signature Massage Treatment and the Botanical Foot Spa Treatment.
Nikki welcomes all new and existing clients and is excited to continue her journey delivering rejuvenating Relaxation Massage therapy and restoring Remedial Massage treatments to you.
