What We Offer At Talk and Touch Therapy we offer a range of services aimed at helping people through the difficult times of life.
Psychology
Our approach to therapy is based on current evidence in the field of psychology. Psychologists train in understanding human behaviour and have expertise in helping people. Psychologists can assist people who are having difficulty controlling their emotions, thinking and behaviour, including those with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, serious and enduring mental illness and addictive behaviours. Psychologists who have completed training through the Masters in Clinical Psychology program have completed 6 years of university training and supervised internships. They are trained in the use of evidence based strategies and therapies and have specific training in the administration and reporting of psychological assessments. All practising psychologists are registered with the Psychologists Board of Australia, a government monitoring body and are bound by a strict code of practice, including guidelines regarding client confidentiality.
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a non-invasive, gentle, Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki energy, (often described as `universal life energy' or `spiritual energy') is accessed by the practitioner during a treatment. It is administered by "laying on hands", a technique that has been practiced for thousands of years. It is a very simple yet powerful technique that enhances the body’s natural healing ability and promotes well being. Reiki treatment stands on its own as a healing practice and is also safely used to support orthodox and complementary medicine. Reiki doesn't interfere with or diminish the intended effects of other health or medical practices.
Acutonics®
Acutonics® is an integrated approach to health care and education that incorporates ancient Taoist teachings of the meridians, pre-meridians, and the immortal body with sound. By blending the knowledge of Oriental Medicine and Sound Healing principals, a powerful and innovative methodology has evolved that is deeply harmonic and spiritually based. This form of energy medicine is based on sound vibration. The powerful sounds of the Universe are brought into the therapeutic world through the use of precision calibrated planetary tuning forks and symphonic planetary gongs to help you achieve optimal health.
