SERVICES
Osteopathy is a system of health care that focuses on the treatment of the physical body, the joints, muscles and connective tissue with “hands on” techniques such as massage, stretching, joint articulation and manipulation.

This has several applications, including:
  • Treating muscle injuries and tightness.

  • Increasing the quality and range of motion in joints after muscle or joint strains and injuries.

  • Breaking down scar tissue caused by trauma.

  • Improving the function of joints to ease arthritic pain.

  • This form of treatment improves the functioning of the whole body via connections with the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. Osteopaths will also offer personal advice on stretching and strengthening exercises, posture, diet, lifting procedures and stress management.

    What is an Osteopath?

Osteopaths are government registered practitioners of manual medicine. In Australia, there are three undergraduate Osteopathic courses, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology & Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne and University of Western Sydney– Macarthur. All Osteopaths undergo a minimum of 5 years university training.

Who can benefit from Osteopathic Treatment?

Osteopathic treatment is most commonly sought for musculoskeletal problems such as:
  • Postural and/or mobility problems

  • Back and neck pain

  • Arthritis

  • Joint pain

  • Back pain during and after pregnancy

  • Sports injuries

  • Motor vehicle accident injuries

  • Work related injuries

  • RSI

  • Headaches, jaw pain and Migraine

  • Sciatica

  • No doctors referral is required.

Appointments can be made by contacting the clinic.
We are happy to answer any questions prior to treatment.

    What is Cranial Sacral Therapy?
From the name most people think it is a type of head massage when in fact the treatment can be performed and felt on the whole body.
Using gentle pressure the therapist places their hands on the body or head to monitor and detect any imbalances or blockages in the body’s natural rhythm. These imbalances and blockages can cause symptoms such as pain and discomfort, headaches, joint pain, chronic muscle tension and even digestive problems.
Gentle techniques are performed to release the areas of concern and restore the central nervous system to full vitality and proper function.

    Hypnotherapy & Subconscious Transformation Therapy

Geoff Collins - Dip. C.H.(NSW) Dip M.H (USA).
Geoff Collins has over 30 years experience as a hypnotherapist, having first qualified in 1975 and in 1980 attained full membership of the prestigious Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists.

Geoff believes that every person has, within them, unlimited but mostly untapped potential. Unfortunately this potential is severely restricted by subconscious conflicts and tensions linked with past events (sometimes even going back to before birth) that predispose a person to a life of struggle and health problems. Advanced hypnotherapeutic and subconscious transformation techniques can quickly release these inner tensions, making this potential more readily available.

Hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle, and non-invasive approach that is a highly effective treatment for a wide range of problems. In most cases, once the underlying tensions connected with a particular problem have been released the problem simply disappears. This is usually achieved within three or four sessions.
Some of the common problems that can be assisted with hypnotherapy include: -
    Addictions (smoking, alcohol, gambling etc)
    Anger management
    Anxiety/Panic Attacks
    Eating Disorders
    Exam nerves
    Fears and Phobias
Lack of confidence or self esteem
    Pain control
    Weight loss.

    Remedial Massage Therapy

    Kellie Faulkner - Dip RM
    What is Remedial Massage?
Remedial Massage is a specific form of bodywork, involving postural assessment to isolate muscles not functioning as they should and to identify imbalances in the body contributing to pain and discomfort. It is an ideal treatment to aid in the recovery of physical injury, certain chronic disorders and common musculo-skeletal conditions created by lifestyle such as Headache, Repetitive Strain or Back Pain.

Remedial massage differs from other forms of massage by holistically treating the body and tracing the discomfort as far back as possible to the original cause. Several specialised techniques are used that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow to locate and repair damage to muscles, tendons and joints including Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Active and Passive Stretching and Positional Release creating conditions for the body's return to normal health.

    Benefits of Remedial Massage
Key benefits include the stimulation of blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed, the calming of the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort and the toning and relaxing of muscles to improve joint mobility.
Benefits also include the removal of blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions, speed up of recovery and encouragment of more complete healing. Remedial treatments do not set out to relax the client, rather to fix a mechanical problem, with all-round health improvements seen ie: better sleep, increase in vitality and performance as well as increased mobility and is often used as an adjunct to other forms of treatment such as Osteopathy
