SERVICES
Welcome to Tegmen OsteopathyTegmen Osteopathy applies osteopathic principles to restoring and maintaining the integrity of our patients’ integuments or natural coverings. We do this by careful questioning to gather information about our patients, their doings and beings, and by closely observing movement and loss of it in the whole person and in the various parts.
We use manual techniques to smooth out irregularities in protective wrappings: skin, fascia, muscle, vessels, bone, joints and meninges. Once smooth and free to move, the wrappings can resume their roles: to support, sustain and enable their wearer to carry on being and doing with a minimum of pain and inconvenience.
Tegmen Yoga provides wearers with time-tested strategies to help maintain and nurture their wrappings in good working order.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a safe, gentle and effective approach to treating pain and dysfunction anywhere in the musculo-skeletal system.

People of all ages, from babies to seniors, can benefit from osteopathic treatment.
Osteopathic treatment is hands-on and drug-free.

Yoga
Jane first encountered yoga in her teens, and has been a regular student since 1998. Her teachers have encompassed a spectrum of Yogic lineages, with the Satyananda tradition a strong influence.
In 2009, she completed the two year Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching at the CAE (Melbourne).
Osteopathy was the impetus to pursue a formal Yoga teaching qualification. Jane found herself drawing on her yogic practice to answer the Question Frequently Asked by patients: “Can you show me a stretch to help me recover from ... (reason for seeking osteopathic treatment)...”
Studying for the teaching diploma was like climbing up the hillside rather than walking around the base. From the top there is a broader view of the landscape of Yoga. From this perspective, Jane seeks to combine elements of asana, pranayama and meditation into harmonious practices to help students to smooth their wrappings, and so nurture their spirits.
