The Body Specialist

Sally began her career in 1991 and has mastered many techniques from all over the world.

Originally from Brisbane Australia, she completed a 4 year curriculum in Massage incorporating Diplomas in Sports Injury, Structural Balancing, and Remedial Massage. She also qualified in Acupuncture.

Sally operated a very successful Acupuncture/Sports Medicine Clinic in Margate “Touch for Harmony and Health” specializing in pain relief from 1991 through 1999. She specialized in treating Shoulder, Neck, Back and Leg pain. During this time she traveled to China to learn Tuina, and Thailand to study Thai massage.

After selling her successful clinic in 1999 she embarked on a world tour in which she worked as Head Therapist aboard the MS Crystal Symphony for 8 months. During this time Crystal was voted the No.1 Cruise Ship spa in the world.

Sally then set her sights on professional sports and toured the world for 5 years as Core therapist for the WTA (Women's Tennis Association), Sally worked at all the major tournaments and assisted many of the world’s top professional athletes reach the pinnacle of their sport. Sally was fortunate to work alongside the best physical therapists in the world offering services for pre and post event, injury prevention and recovery.

These included DEEP MUSCLE TENDON AND LIGAMENT THERAPY, DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE, SPORTS MASSAGE and ACUPUNCTURE.

After settling down in Seattle, USA with her family she was called upon to keep a close eye on the Seattle Sonics NBA players and also assisted the Seattle Seahawks to make it to the Superbowl.

Personalities include Martina Navratilova, Lindsay Davenport, Kim Clijsters, Anna Kournikova as well as Venus and Serena Williams, to name just a few. Sally gained valuable experience working alongside the best physical therapists and medical professionals in the world. Since returning to Redcliffe Sally has been assisting with the Brisbane Broncos training program and set up The Body Specialist clinic to take care of YOU.

Sally uses a specialized ‘bodyCushion” once you lay on it you will never want to lay face down flat on a treatment bed again. This cushion enables pregnant women to lie face down comfortably while experiencing a full body massage right up until 40 weeks and enables those with injuries or irregular body shapes to position themselves comfortably. This cushion relieves all the pressure points in the low back and hips and is ergonomically designed.

Sally is qualified to Level 3 in Scenar therapy (currently the highest level of training in Australia), as well as women’s health, Sports injuries and Aesthetic Medicine.

Sally has a special interest in dealing with pain of varying degrees including sports injuries, work related injuries and general body aching.

Sally loves to treat children and has a great repoire with treating adolescents as they are developing through their sporting careers. Sally is constantly amazed at the results being achieved by scenar therapy everything ranging from stubborn skin disorders, sports injuries, back and neck pain along with many chronic conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue to name a few.
