Welcome to The Foot Spot – Podiatric Medical Centre. At The Foot Spot we believe in total lower limb care. If you have a problem with your feet, knees, hips or lower back we can help.

With over 12 years experience in all facets of Podiatric Medicine, we can provide you with a range of solutions to suite your needs. We believe that you, the patient are the most important part of the health care team.

At The Foot Spot – Podiatric Medical Centre you will be offered a multitude of solutions to your problems. Many Podiatrists believe that the only solution for your foot problems is long drawn out palliative care or expensive foot orthoses. This is simply not the case at The Foot Spot.

We believe in finding a permanent solution to your problem through evidenced based medicine.

We do not believe in the use of fancy gimmicks to sell products to patients.

All Podiatrists at The Foot Spot have completed an undergraduate degree from an Australian University as their minimum standards for education. All staff are encouraged to actively pursue higher degree’s via coursework or research as well as continuing professional education (CPE) to improve patient care.

All Podiatrists at The Foot Spot – Podiatric Medical Centre are registered with the Podiatrists Board of Australia.

Paul graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology in 1997 and started his career as a Podiatrist for Central Sydney Area Health Service at Canterbury Hospital. Soon after he became a clinical placement supervisor for the University of Western Sydney (UWS) Podiatry Program.

Whilst still working in public health, Paul also pursued a career working for in private practice at St Ive’s Podiatry.

Enrolling in the UWS Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) conversion degree in 1999, Paul completed this further study and started work at Newport Podiatry Clinic in 2000.

After five years at Canterbury Hospital, Paul decided to move on and focus all his attention on Newport Podiatry Clinic as well as working as a casual clinician at the UWS UniClinic, teaching undergraduate Podiatry students and specialising in clinical surgery, biomechanics, orthoses and paediatrics.

During his time at Newport, Paul focused primarily on sports medicine and rehabilitation. After a brief trip training in Canada he worked with several high profile sports patients as well as spending time working on the medical team at the Forster Ironman event.

In 2002 Paul was offered a full time position as a Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney whilst completing his Masters Degree.

During his time at UWS Paul was responsible for lecturing in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Surgery, Pharmacology as well as being third year coordinator and Unit Coordinator for the clinical podiatry units. He maintained a presence within the UWS UniClinic facility teaching clinical Podiatry to 3rd and 4th years as well as being responsible for clinical surgery and orthoses manufacturing. Paul was also Acting Head of the Podiatry Program during 2005.

Currently as well as being a Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney, Paul is pursuing his PhD as well as completing a surgical Fellowship as a Podiatric Surgical Registrar with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons.

Paul is also actively involved in the Podiatric community as a Board Director of the Australian Podiatry Association (NSW) and a sub-committee member for education to the NSW Podiatrists Registration Board.

During his time at UWS, Paul has been actively been involved in Research projects and has presented at several major conferences. His publication list to date includes:
