Remedial Massage
Remedial massage uses a range of massage techniques to assist in the treatment and management of injuries and health conditions.
Remedial massage is commonly used in treating the following conditions: muscle conditions (tightness, strains, spasms, cramps), tension headaches, tendonitis & tendinosis, arthritis, postural deviations & conditions, fibromyalgia & myofascial pain syndrome, shin splints, patellofemoral pain syndrome, plantar fasciitis, disc disease & back pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, sports injuries.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage is a very specific light massage technique to improve the activity of the lymph system. The lymph system is involved in immune functionality; and returns fluid, proteins, fats and metabolic waste from the body's tissues back to the blood.
Lymphatic drainage can be used for the following: stimulation of immune function, treatment of lymphoedema, reducing oedema & fluid retention (from injuries, PMT, venous insufficiency), treatment of lipoedema, reducing blood pressure, treatment of sinus conditions, ear & Eustachian tube conditions, general relaxation and stress reduction, detoxification, recovery from colds, flu, chest infections, glandular fever.
Complex Lymphatic Therapy
Complex Lymphatic Therapy is a combination of manual lymphatic drainage, compression (garments or bandaging) and home exercises to help manage the chronic condition of lymphoedema. The Mobile Joint can assist with these aspects of lymphoedema management, with their Lymphoedema Association of Australian accredited therapist.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses a range of massage techniques to promote relaxation and overall wellbeing.
