Treatements Available
Relaxation Massage:
A gentle massage which is good for people carrying emotional tensions. Ideal for those with stressful & hectic lifestyles.
Deep Tissue Massage:
A Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the tension in the body using slow strokes and deep finger pressure. Its purpose is to relieve tension and relax and soothe muscles.
Pregnancy Massage:
A woman’s body changes dramatically during pregnancy. Pregnancy massage aims to enhance the function of muscles and joints, improve circulation and offer stress relief to weight-bearing joints. Pregnancy massage is great way for the mother to be to relax and may assist in decreasing insomnia.
Integrated Massage:
Is the application of touch, stroking, friction, vibration, percussion, kneading, stretching, compression & passive & active joint movements within the normal range of motion. This style of treatment can be helpful for many common complaints. Integrated techniques include: Myofascial Release (soft & hard), Mobilization, Trigger point therapy, Hip Clearances & specialised stretching.

Who can attend the sessions?
Parents, close caregivers, and expectant parents. You can bring your baby along to the sessions to massage during the demonstration time at each class, or for expectant parents a baby doll is provided for use during to help you learn the stroke techniques correctly. It is up to you whether you attend a class prior to, or after the birth of your baby. Your instructor will cater to both situations. It simply depends on whether you would prefer to learn the techniques on your baby in class, or whether you prefer to have learnt the techniques prior to the birth so that you can begin to massage confidently while still in hospital. Infants can be massaged from birth; there is no specific time limit or age that you need to wait for to begin.
What the infant massage sessions cover -
Session 1: Benefits of baby massage • Appropriate oils to use on babies • Strokes for the legs and buttocks • Recognising babies signals in regards to when they do and don't want massage.
Session 2: Recognising baby's daily cycle and the best time to massage • Crying during massage • Strokes for the abdomen and chest • The importance of being relaxed during massage.
Session 3: Developing massage strokes to suit your growing child • Strokes for the face, arms and back • Contraindications (situations where massage should be avoided).
Session 4: Discussion on colic • Strokes to prevent and relieve colic, constipation and wind • Exercises to keep your baby flexible and assist lymphatic drainage (great for development of coordination) • Review of the full massage routine.
Group Classes (normally 4 people per class)
Parent classes usually run over a four-week period, one session per week, with each class lasting for around 1-1&1/2 hours depending on class sizes.
Private Classes (one on one)
The massage class is also available privately as a in-home visit. Private sessions cover the same course content and are run over a two-week period, with two sessions per lesson.

If Sunday is not suitable for your massage appointment, another day can be arranged in most cases.
Baby Massage classes are run on Fridays or by appointment.
