Tom specialises in:
Resolving musculo-skeletal disorders – including acute, post-acute and chronic conditions.
Pain management – acupuncture has long been recognised by the mainstream health system for its ability to reduce sensations of acute and chronic pain.
Stress reduction – stress is the bane of the working person’s existence. Chinese medicine sees physical and emotional stress responses as manifestations of internal imbalance and treats them accordingly.
Menstrual disorders & conception care – more and more research is coming to light on the beneficial effects of acupuncture for resolving period pain, aiding fertility and for enhancing the effects of IVF treatment. Menstrual disorders such as PMT, PCOS, endometriosis, amennorhoea and dysmennorhoea respond very well to Thomas' treatments.
The initial consultation will determine an appropriate treatment plan which may involve a course of treatment over a period of time depending on the severity of the issue. Treatment plans are flexible in accordance with your needs, with the primary concern being the resolution of the problem.
Regular acupuncture treatment is a wonderful way of maintaining health and vitality to keep you at your optimal level of wellbeing.
The World Health Organisation states that based on controlled clinical trials acupuncture can be effectively used to treat many diseases including the following:
lower back pain, headache, neck pain, knee pain
adverse reactions to radiation or chemotherapy
depression (including depressive neurosis and depression following stroke)
nausea and vomiting
postoperative pain
