Toni-Anne takes a mindfulness-based approach to coaching, using emotion focused and cognitive frameworks on which to build greater levels of awareness as to the origin of psychological and emotional difficulties. Mindfulness is about paying attention, on purpose, in the spirit of non-judgment and curiosity. By being present with what is, thoughts, feelings, memories, physical sensations, you can open up the opportunity for greater insight and understanding into the nature of the mind-body, which helps to create pathways of possibility.
In making space for what is happening now, the good, the bad or unpleasant, we face long-standing patterns of avoidance and distraction, strategies aimed at reducing pain and suffering in the now, but ultimately serve to make life harder in the long-term. Like struggling in quick sand, the fight makes you sink all the quicker! By opening up to what is, making room for what is felt and experienced in the now, as opposed to fighting or resisting your current experience, it is possible to reconnect with your true self and live your life on purpose.
“Inner peace is the key: if you have inner peace, the external problems do not affect your deep sense of peace and tranquility...without this inner peace, no matter how comfortable your life is materially, you may still be worried, disturbed, or unhappy because of circumstances.”
― Dalai Lama XIV

You are probably already familiar with the signs that things could improve in your life. You may be feeling pressure to be someone you are not, you may find yourself doing whatever you can to fit in, or you may feel compelled to stick with a particular job, lifestyle, or relationship you out grew long ago. You may have dismissed the hopes you had for your life, believing them to be out of reach. But the good news is that you don't have to continue down the road where you have given up on your hopes and dreams. By seeking the assistance of a life coach, you can start to reclaim your authenticity once again and move your life in a completely different direction.
