SERVICES
Toning Touch Therapy specialises in Oncology Massage which is a type of therapy developed for people in remission from or living with cancer. The style of massage provided is very gentle and mindful and is also suitable for anyone who prefers or requires a more gentle massage. Current research shows that gentle relaxation massage provides benefits such as reduction in pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression and nausea.
Oncology Massage:
Oncology Massage techniques were developed in the United States and are in regular use at a number of hospitals with specialist cancer facilities. In Australia they are being further developed and taught by the Oncology Massage Training group led by Eleanor Oyston and are in use at the SAN Hospital in Wahroonga.
John Larter - Oncology Massage Therapist:
I am a diploma qualified remedial massage therapist and I have recently qualified in Oncology Massage. This qualification is endorsed by the Petrea King Quest for Life Foundation, the Australian Association of Massage Therapists and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
I have undertaken this specialised training and developed this service to provide on-going treatment to clients who wish to have gentle Remedial Massage Therapy without the inconvenience of travelling to clinics that may be some distance from their home.
Remedial Massage treatments are eligible for rebates from most Private Health Funds
