Reward your staff or team and enhance the well-being of your most important asset- your employees: The use of office equipment, particularly computers can magnify postural problems particularly of the back and neck.
It is our aim to minimize workplace injury and assist in ensuring a healthier work place, boosting moral and thus increasing revenue.
We can tailor a program that is suited to your company’s specific needs whether your business is big of small.
What is an sEMG scan?
An sEMG (Static Electromyography) scan is a non-invasive, painless test used to measure the effects of muscle tension in the back causing dysfunction of the spine. Injuries, accidents, prolonged abnormal postures and repetitive movements cause postural muscles to tighten and contract causing misalignments and dysfunction.
The scans produce reports which we will compare your functional measurements to normal values.
Areas that are functioning normally show up as white bars on our printouts
Areas of Dysfunction will show up as coloured bars on our sEMG printouts- Normal function = White
- Slight Dysfunction = Green
- Mild Dysfunction = Blue
- Moderate Dysfunction = Red
- Severe Dysfunction = Black
EMG Scans
Initial scan of new patient (fig. a)
This is a "normal" Static EMG scan (the white bars show normal function). This is what we use to compare against your Scan. You will be able to see where there is undue tension in your muscles, which in turn leads to tension on your nervous system.
Muscle dysfunction can cause many problems in the spine including headaches, soreness, pain, and posture irregularities. Left untreated muscle dysfunction can lead to more serious problems even affecting other systems in the body.
With all of the information gathered from the test, we are able to design a treatment plan tailored specifically to meet your requirements.
Having these scans performed regularly will assist us in ensuring that your body is responding to the treatment and that normal function is returning to your body.
Your wellbeing is important to us and we look forward to helping you achieve this.
Being well starts with your wellbeing.
