Now, so many years down the track the passion for massage never ceases, and am now taken deep into the area of pain, involving not only muscular pain but indiscriminate body pain.
Not only challenging but extremely interesting and the effects Therapeutic Massage or Body Work, contributes to alleviate the symptoms of muscular pain. This common problem, of unexplained body pain seems to be on the increase. At this level it is where professional Body Work shifts from not being an indulgence but a way of Health.

Our Clinic specialises in this area of Clinical Therapeutic Massage.

Who Works in the Clinic

Today there are two therapists working in the Clinic .

Times past many therapists have come and gone, today we are still dedicated to quality, and client care is premium to our focus. It takes a long time to get the right ingredients to make a clinic a truly warm and caring environment. At last we have achieved the perfect balance. We all share the same vision, we care about how you feel, we want your treatment to be memorable and effective.

All Remedial Massages in our Clinic qualify for Health Funds Rebates. Rebate amounts are determined by your cover.

We have Hi Caps for on the spot rebates HCF MU although rebates does not yet go through Hi Caps.

About The Massage

The Massage Therapy is diverse from many learned techniques over the years, gaining experience from clients who have come with a myriad of complaints, problems, injuries, conditions. We have learned from everyone, shared with wonderful collegues, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Chiropractors to mention a few, all who have helped us become better practitioners. There is not one particular style, rather a tapestry of techniques developed over the years embroidered into a wonderful experience of Massage Treatments

We have a uniformity in our Massage treatments, it does not matter who your therapist, the type of massage will be similar, bearing in mind we are all individuals of course!

Type of Massage Treatments

Massage Treatments are all Predominantly Firm and Deep.

Concentrating in all aspects of massage in relation to muscular and ligamentous pain, mind/body connection, involving restricted mobility, over use problems (RSI) muscle spasm caused by stress. Work related computer problems involving restrictive movement. Massage treatments that focus on chronic anxierty and tension, resulting in sleep deprivation and irritability. We deal with pain.

Clinical Massage

  • Chronic Pain Cycle
Therapeutic Massage often incorporates the inclusion of Trigger Points and Deep Tissue Massage. Depending on the sensitivity of pain and the pain presenting, the Therapist will apply varying degrees of pressure.

A Trigger Point is an area of hyper irritability in tissue that when compressed, is locally tender and extremely sensitive to pain, often causing referred pain.

  • Understanding the body's signs.
The body's reaction to pain is to become immobile. Causing stiffness, muscle spasm, restricted movement, extreme tenderness and tiredness or fatigue.

  • Understanding the Massage Treatment
Over prolonged time these Trigger Point areas build up becoming active, they are best described as taut bands within the muscle fibres. When pressure is applied directly on the Trigger Point via manual therapy a hot sometimes, sharp pain is experienced and may send pain pathways into another direction.

Massage in the form of static pressure by our experienced therapist combined with passive stretching to the affected tissue helps to eradicate the spasm ending the Chronic Pain Cycle, relaxing the tight fibres. You will feel the difference during the massage, experiencing greater flexibility by the time you leave.

    Foot note.
If prolonged pain persists Massage should be understood to give you relief not always a cure, please consult your Health Care Practitoner.

    Duty of Care

Due to our professional responsibility and the limitations of massage our clients can feel assured that any medical sign or condition of concern we will refer immediately back to your health care practitioner.

As Massage Therapists we do not diagnose.
