Massage Therapies
Relaxation/Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and creates a feeling of deep relaxation. Swedish massage is the foundation for almost all other types of Western massage, including sports, deep tissue and aromatherapy massage. Swedish massage is a beautiful and nurturing treatment for people who are stressed, physically/emotionally fatigued or just in need of an escape from the day-to-day grind.
Therapeutic/Deep Tissue Massage

Therapeutic massage is a more targeted treatment therapy that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body, through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on tight areas. Therapeutic massage is perfect for those suffering from general/specific muscular issues associated with chronic muscle pain, aggravated trigger points, injury rehabilitations, sporting and occupational injuries, and physical and mental fatigue.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is designed to help athletes and sports people prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training by combining injury treatment with prevention management, warm up, cool down, and stretching. Overall, it is a firmer massage which penetrates deeper into specific areas of the body that require treatment in order to stimulate circulation of blood and lymph fluids, break down adhesions (knots in the muscles) and increase range of motion.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is specifically designed for pregnant women to help relieve common pregnancy discomforts and promote mother and baby wellbeing. Pregnancy massage is very gentle and soothing, as well as having many benefits for the mother, such as increasing energy, easing aches and pains, slowing the process of varicose veins, reducing stress on weight-bearing joints, aiding with fluid retention, releasing emotional stress, as well as maintaining skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of stretch marks.
Pregnancy Massage is also beneficial for mothers who have recently given birth (postpartum massage) by improving recovery time and reducing connective tissue damage after birth. Postpartum massage is designed to help restore the body to its pre-pregnant condition while also addressing the stress of carrying and caring for a newborn.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a 2,000 year old healing art based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. It combines massage, stretching, and gentle physical pressure along meridian channels and pressure points to balance the body's energy (known as "Ki", "Chi" or “Qi”). When the meridians are balanced, the tissues, muscles, nerves, metabolism and emotions are balanced. Shiatsu is a holistic therapy designed to uplift and harmonise your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being, providing a deeply relaxing experience that will leave you feeling more internally balanced. Shiatsu can be beneficial in the following conditions: stress and fatigue, poor circulation of blood and lymph, high blood pressure, muscle stiffness, back and joint pain, persistent headache and migraine, insomnia, depression, sinusitis, asthma, as well as difficulties of the digestive system and menstrual problems.
Clients remain fully clothed during Shiatsu treatments.
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced 'ray-kee') is an ancient Japanese hands-on healing technique that involves balancing and cleansing the body's energy centres, called chakras. There are seven primary chakras located on specific areas of the body and each chakra has a particular 'responsibility'. When our chakras are blocked or unbalanced, unwanted changes occur in our lives, both physically and emotionally. For example, when our root chakra is balanced, we feel confident with our place in the world and feel financially secure. When our root chakra is blocked, we feel guilt about spending money and feel there is never enough. As a Reiki Practitioner, I channel the healing power of universal energy (Qi) into the client in order help cleanse the chakras and restore harmony to the body.
On a physical level, Reiki therapy has several basic effects; it brings about deep relaxation, destroys energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing life energy, promotes emotional balance, spiritual awareness and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
Clients remain fully clothed during Reiki treatments.

Couple's Massage enables you and your partner to enjoy the beauty of massage together in the same room, side by side, by two different therapists at the location of your choice - home, Bed and Breakfast etc. It can be for a husband and wife, girlfriend and boyfriend, life partners, mums and daughters or best friends. Couple's massage is the perfect way to reconnect or simply share a beautiful experience with someone you care about. An ideal gift idea for someone special.
