SERVICES
The Practitioners at Two Bays:

Laurence Westcott
Laurence graduated in 1989 as a myotherapist, after 3 years studying at R.M.I.T, Melbourne.

She has been practising in Mt. Eliza since 1994.

Originally from France, she adopted Australia as her new home at the age of 25. In France Laurence trained and worked as a midwife, so has a natural interest in pre and postnatal treatment.

Laurence did further studies in 1999 to be a lymphoedema practitioner, and “complex physical therapy “ for lymphoedema is a daily part of her work.

As an adjunct to her myotherapy work Laurence teaches swimming and is a club swimmer herself, which gives her a good understanding in shoulders’injury prevention.

Laurence is always striving towards increased knowledge and understanding in myotherapy, through continuing education ( workshop and conferences ), personal research and experience.

Emma Cheston
Emma is a qualified Sports Therapist and Myotherapist with certifications in Dry Needling and Cupping and Gua Sha. She studied at the Australian College of Sports Therapy, and is a registered member of the Massage Association of Australia.

Sports Therapy is very similar to Myotherapy and involves the assessment, treatment, management, rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries.

Emma provides quality treatment to her clients with the use of various modalities (as mentioned above) to achieve maximum results. A variety of hands on treatment and the prescription of home exercises (including stretching and strengthening components) are what allows Emma’s clients bodies to reach their optimum!

Emma re-assesses her client’s condition at the beginning and end of each treatment so that no two treatments are ever the same. As the clients body begins to change and adapt to each individualised treatment, so do Emma’s techniques and her approach.
