Waverley Yoga Studio offers Yoga classes suitable for all levels, a Beginners Yoga course, a Learn to Meditate course, ongoing Meditation sessions, Parent and Baby Yoga (also known as Mums and Bubs yoga, or Mother and Baby Yoga), Restore and Renew Yoga (for those wanting to practise a more gentle style of yoga) and Ashtanga Yoga. Welcome to Waverley Yoga Studio

The studio is a tranquil environment where yoga is practiced in a friendly, caring and supportive way.

Classes are held at various times including daytime, evening and weekend, with private or workplace classes also available. Those new to yoga feel nurtured on their journey and those wanting more of a physical challenge can certainly get that too.

Various special needs such as those of pregnant women, parents with babies, people recovering from illness or injury or wanting to go gently, and total beginners are catered for in specialised classes. Instruction and practice in meditation is also offered.

Classical yoga classes include deep relaxation, warming up and limbering, classic yoga postures (with each person working at their own level), mindful breathing practices and stillness meditation. We talk a little about yoga philosophy too. This combination of physical work (hatha yoga) and some work for the mind can bring many benefits to the body and a better understanding and peacefulness to our lives.

You will notice benefits right from your very first class at Waverley Yoga Studio. The teachers are friendly, caring, professional and supportive, and the environment tranquil.

Classical yoga classes include deep relaxation, warming up and limbering, classic yoga postures (with each person working at their own level), mindful breathing practices and stillness meditation. We talk a little about yoga philosophy too. This combination of physical work (hatha yoga) and some work for the mind can bring many benefits to the body and a better understanding and peacefulness to your life. Yoga at Waverley Yoga Studio will improve your fitness and wellbeing, and yoga also helps your bad back, stress, anxiety, breathing, weight problems and many other issues.

Various special needs such as those of pregnant women, parents with babies, women with breast cancer, people recovering from illness or injury or wanting to go gently, and total beginners are catered for in specialised classes. Instruction and practice in meditation is also offered, both as a wonderful Learn to Meditate course and an ongoing Meditation group.

For those wanting a stronger practice we also offer early mornng Ashtanga Yoga twice a week.

    'Since starting yoga – with the Beginners course – at Waverley Yoga Studio nearly three years ago, I have become an avid fan. I took up Yoga to hopefully help with a troublesome back and with regular weekly practice I find I no longer have any issues with my back. QUALIFICATION DETAILS

Sally Dawson is the owner and has been the Prinicpal of Waverley Yoga Studio since it opened in 2002. Sally is a member of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia and has a Diploma of Classical Yoga from the Australian College of Classical Yoga as well as a Bachelor Of Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration. As well as teaching most of the yoga and meditation classes at Waverley Yoga Studio, Sally also teaches Anatomy and Asana to Yoga Teacher trainees at the Australian College of Classical Yoga.
