"I imagine some readers of Sally-Ann's website may need some convincing to participate in Reiki. Perhaps I can help. As one of life's healthy sceptics, I approached my Reiki session with Sally-Ann with an open empirical mind. I report the following as a scientific observer:
I was immediately struck by the sensation of warmth emanating from Sally-Ann's hands, and the corresponding warmth in my body wherever she placed them. With my eyes shut, I noticed patterns of colours which also changed noticeably as she moved her hands. There was a sense of lightness and release of tension, and a complete absence of anything visual besides the colours. Above all I felt serenely calm, except for a few moments. These coincided with Sally-Ann focussing on areas of my body where she felt all was not well, as she told me at the end of the session, but before I could tell her I had some sort of discomfort there. She suggested what might be causing this, as accurately as any medical practitioner I have visited.
I went away from the session calmer, more sure of myself and feeling I had lost several kilos and grown several centimeters. I invite any fellow sceptics to try Reiki as I did, and enjoy the benefits without prejudice. Your first observation will be that you feel better!"
