How does it work? Abiding by the theory of Craniosacral Therapy this wholistic therapy method seeks to optimise auto regulation of the body, that is to assist it to help itself toward optimal function. We aim to integrate the function of the sacrum at one end of the spine and the cranial bones at the other end by performing a series of cross fibre 'moves' at various parts of the body. These 'moves' create relaxation of the nervous system and allow the brain to 'hear' what we are doing. These 'moves' tighten slack muscles and relax tight muscles, bringing the body into structural balance throughout. As the structure balances so function is improved and energy levels are restored. The best part is that the creator of NST went to the trouble of trialling the work for a high rate of effectiveness using Applied Kinesiology. Neurofascial Kinetics Upper body
A one day seminar that teaches massage practitioners assessment and management of peripheral nerve motion restrictions. Concentrates on conditions and presentations of the Median, Ulnar and Radial nerves and allows interpretation of common and bizarre symptoms commonly seen in clinic.
Neurofascial Kinetics Lower Body
A one day seminar currently being developed covering the sciatic, tibial, peroneal, femoral and obturator nerbve motion restrictions.
Footwear Neccessity of Nonsence?
A one day workshop covering the theory of footwear and orthotics from my observations of clients in clinic who have multiple musculoskeletal problems due to poor feet and ankles. These client's problems are resolved by orthotics then represent again later on despite wearing their orthotic devices. Why is this so and what can we massage therapists do about it?
