My name is Andrea and I have had a passion for yoga since my youth. Yoga is thousands of years old, yet is as relevant as ever today; offering practical ancient wisdom to help you navigate more easily through life’s ups and downs and wonderful stretches and practices to leave you feeling lighter, stronger and more comfortable in your body and mind.
I began teaching yoga classes in 2001, on completion of my Teacher Training Diploma, through the International Yoga Teachers’ Association Inc. I am also a fully qualified Life Coach.

Why bliss?
Keeping in mind the ancient wisdom that has been passed on for thousands of years, that our true essence, our very deepest nature is happiness or Bliss (Ananda)
What is yoga?
The practice of yoga is an art and science dedicated to creating union between body, mind and spirit. Its objective is to assist the practitioner in using the breath and body to foster an awareness of ourselves as individualized beings intimately connected to the unified whole of creation. In short it is about making balance and creating equanimity so as to live in peace, good health and harmony with the greater whole.

Emotions
Develop calmness, generate awareness of one’s emotional being,
provides inner strength and the ability to manage difficult situations with confidence and grace
What can I expect in the class?
Expect to be made to feel welcome and at ease from your very first class. I respect that we are all different and encourage you to work at your own level.
Expect variety, as each week a new aspect of yoga is explored. Classes are generally an hour and a half in duration, which include time to relax, warm up, move through a variety of asanas (postures), basic pranayama (breathing techniques), visualisation and meditation. We use mats, belts, blocks and blankets at various times and all equipment is supplied for you.
The classes are suitable for beginners and you will receive a solid foundation for your practice. Students can attend on a casual basis or at a reduced rate through the purchase of a 5 or 10 lesson card.
