Yoga For Life

There is postive energy beyond our Yoga practise
We listen, we care...
We snore, we laugh...
We share...
We are a strong Yoga community

I feel good about myself
I express myself through Yoga
I love and honour my body
I embrace my body's limitations

This Yoga is for the weak..
The strong...
The big...
The small...
Brothers and sisters...
We all get together and have a good time

A healthy body... a clear mind
A voice that is heard
Authentic... Tired... Imperfect

Our True Self that is bigger than Yoga

- Yoga For Life

Lots of Yoga classes for everyone with a timetable that will accommodate full time jobs and tired mums!

Hatha Yoga

Our General Hatha Yoga classes are active, offering sequenced poses that involve twists, inversions, backbends, forward bends, hip stretches and balance poses. The goal is to restore our bodies’ natural equilibrium; on a physical level this means lengthening and strengthening muscles, building bone density, creating healthy joints and a good posture.

Additionally though, we aim to assist the student in finding a deeper peace of mind and a release from stress and tension - to develop mindfulness in their day to day life as well as in their yogic practise.

Our Hatha classes involve 15 to 20 minutes of shavasana, or deep Yogic relaxation. Shavasana offers us the opportunity to fully surrender to the moment, to let go of thoughts, worries, plans, memories and even our concepts of who we are.

We allow the body to rest and the mind to ‘recharge it’s batteries’, bringing us back to everyday life with renewed focus and balance.

Restorative & Antenatal Yoga

Restorative yoga offers us the opportunity to step away from the frantic pace of life so many of us experience, with its high levels of stress and competition, and turn our awareness inwards to nurture our bodies, rather than push them.

Naturally, it is particularly good during times of illness or pain, as part of the recovery process, or to help the body during pregnancy and after childbirth. But many of us underestimate the value of incorporating a regular restorative class alongside our stronger practice of general hatha or fitness classes.

Learning to tune in to our bodies at all levels, and understanding how a restorative practice may positively impact our digestive and reproductive systems, along with blood pressure and blood sugar issues are all benefits of this class.

This class is suitable for beginners.

Private Yoga Classes

Who should try private lessons?

Are you new to yoga, and wish to familiarise yourself with the basics of preparation work, sun salutation sequence and a handful of core poses, before slotting into general hatha classes?

Do you have specific injuries that you would like to create a program especially for?

Would you like to take your current practice a little deeper and explore some postures in greater depth, in a manner suited to your specific anatomy and needs?

Private lessons offer the opportunity to meet any and all of these needs, with teachers tailoring the class specifically to your requirements. Yoga as it was originally taught –; one to one.

OUR TEACHERS

JULIA TORAL

I have been teaching yoga for many years, I have to thank my guru, Swami Shantanada (Mataji) for teaching me the deeper meaning of yoga, which has now becaome not only an important part of my life, but my lifestyle. I have an established meditation practise that has helped me understand the thread of not just my mind but of minds in general and now I feel compelled to share my experience with other people, people like you, that have no idea where to start and how to go about it.

You don't have to be flexible or strong to join our classes, all you need to do is decide to have a break from your busy life, and stop to smell the flowers, start enjoying your body and your life just as it is, with no expectations and without the filter of your always busy mind.

I am a member of the Yoga Teacher Association of Australia and of the Association of Teachers of Meditation of Australia as a Personal Development and Spiritual Guide, and I also have a background in Pedagogy and Psychiatry which has led me to understand the threads of our busy mind.

I currently teach at Simply Natural Therapies, Fitness Frst, Aquarena, , Lululemon Athletica and Corporate classes as part of Good Health Solutions, apart from my own private and public classes at my studio, Yoga for Life.
