Welcome to The Yoga Garden
Imagine a garden of vibrant life, full of colour, beauty and tranquility. In the Yoga Garden seeds are sown, as we rest in pose of the child, and grow in many different shapes, in many different ways.
The Yoga Garden has a number of programs offering yoga, relaxation and meditation in the education system, and in the community, tending to the well-being of children, young people and adults alike.
The Stepping Stones Program for young children is a creative yoga program taking children on magical journeys - a full body experience integrated with visualisations.
The SPACE Programs cater for primary school children, high school and college students. These yoga, relaxation and meditation sessions aim to meet the changing needs of young people, helping them to reach their fullest potential.
The SPACE Programs also offers tools for teachers to use in the classroom to aid their students' holistic development, as well as offering them classes for stress management.
The Yoga Garden helps children cross those first stepping stones, supports young people as they grow, and helps adults make bridges that connect. It's about growing gardens where we can discover the beauty within and see it reflected it without.
STEPPING STONES Yoga and Relaxation Programs:- Childcare and Preschools - Children are introduced to yoga and relaxation in a creative and playful way, incorporating stories, songs and visual props to make it fun and age appropriate.
- Parent and Child - Mothers/fathers are given the opportunity to bond with their children in a special way as they journey through a yoga story, stretching bodies and imaginations alike.
- Playgroups - Have the Yoga Garden visit your playgroup for a magical journey with friends with a theme of your choice.
SPACE Yoga and Relaxation Programs:- Preschools - An introduction to yoga and relaxation through the use of stories, songs and visual props to make it fun, meaningful and age appropriate.
- Primary Schools - Children are introduced to finer details of body alignment through posture work. Breath awareness and concentration skills are developed through simple breathing and meditation exercises.
- High Schools and Colleges - Programs are flexible offering yoga and meditation to suit different types, helping students with energy levels, stress management and concentration. Workshops and week-end well-being retreats are also available.
- Teachers- Yoga and Relaxation classes are available for teachers for stress management, while Professional Development workshops are available to teach effective yoga/relaxation techniques that can be used in the classroom.
The facilitators of these programs are qualified and experienced yoga teachers who feel passionate about making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of today's young generation, as expressed in our mission statement.
