SERVICES Welcome to A BALANCED LIFE Yolanda set up her own studio 'A Balanced Life' some 15 years ago, teaching Yoga, Meditation and Personal Development (Life Skills & Holistic Counselling). She understands that finding the right balance in one's life is a continual and changing process. However, there are some good habits you can personally develop that will assist greatly.
The Practice of Yoga and Meditation are 2 of the most beneficial habits you could easily develop in your life. Look for a class nearby and you will do best if you commit to a 'block of classes' as this will be a commitment. If you don't like the teacher or the venue, keep looking and trying other classes until you do find the venue and teacher to suit you. A weekly class and some practice at home in between would be most beneficial and will cost you less.
However if you just cannot find a class which suits your time, location or you just don't have the funds to attend weekly classes... a good investment will be an easy to follow Yoga DVD and Meditation CD. Even if you do find a class, if you practice in between the sessions you will gain just so much more... and Yolanda has produced the perfect products to assist you.

About Yolanda Yolanda started on her path to self discovery and personal development in her early twenties (and has never stopped). Thereafter for many years she conducted the empowering Personal Development course 'Powerful Planning'. She is selfless in sharing her wisdom and knowledge for those who are also interested in finding true joy and meaning to their own lives (and in spite of adversity)... a better life!
Her own life has not been easy and she has overcome adversity and barriers which might well have defeated others. She was raised in an orphanage from a baby to the age of seven, then suffered many forms of abuse in an extremely hostile domestic environment.. At the vulnerable age of 15, she was absolutely homeless and having to totally support herself. She also suffered with very poor physical and emotional health (from childhood neglect), lacked formal education and had a speech impediment.

Ancient teaching of Yoga say 'Your body is the temple which houses your Soul'.
The 'holistic' practice of Hatha Yoga stretches and strengthens your body and nurtures your soul.
This Yoga style is classical HATHA 'Yolanda style'... very do-able and very unique.
Yolanda's classes are holistic, nurturing and uplifting... incorporating classical yoga poses (asanas), yogic breathing (pranayama), deep relaxation (yoga nidra), chakra clearing-energizing and a philosophy for positive daily living.
Her beautiful studio/sanctuary is a true haven for peace & calm in a busy city... and is set up for comfort with the floor heated in winter & naturally cooled in summer.

All classes are classified as ‘general’ and most suitable for beginners to intermediate levels.
Learning Meditation Meditation is simply giving yourself the time and space to just be alone with ‘you’. Meditation allows you to tap into ‘your true essence... your spirit’ which is unique to just ‘you’... and further, to evolve into being your very best.
Meditation is a Practice… it’s something you do.
Having a knowledge of how to Meditate will not bring you any benefits. Only a daily Meditation Practice brings out the very best of ‘who you are’… from within.
Meditation is very special because you are relaxed and aware/alert at the same time. There is a mountain of scientific evidence which proves the ‘seemingly miraculous’ benefits of Meditation Practice.

I originally went to see Yolanda to help me with a phobia, little did I know at the time that she would change my life. The sessions, which involved counselling and hypnotherapy, not only helped with my phobia but showed me a new way of approaching and living life. At the time I was recovering from 4 years of illness and a divorce and had not realised how much I had been struggling. However, I left these sessions feeling very happy and wanted to ask people if they knew how easy it was to feel that good and did they know what they were missing?
