Do you suffer from fluid retention & swelling?
Have you heard about deep lymphatic therapy? It's a recently developed, scientifically based treatment that really makes a difference. The deep lymphatic system is specifically stimulated by energy flow generated by various types of bio-energetic tools, effectviely clearing congestion that can occur in any part of it. Clients are shown how to decrease toxic intake and eat foods that may help them feel better.
Many people may not know about the lymphatic system. It's as important as the blood circulation and is probably responsible for 90% of fluid return in the body, mostly happening through lymph nodes (1).
There are two parts - superficial and deep. In one sense the deep lymphatics can be roughly described as a deep seated system of rivers & tributaries, interspersed with filters called lymph nodes, receiving fluid from every area of the body. They handle much more lymph (ie the fluid inside the system) than the superficial network. They are so extensive and deep-seated that other types of lymphatic massage, predominately accessing the superficial network, simply cannot access all deep areas that can become congested.
Consider:-
• There's twice as many lymphatic vessels as blood vessels and twice as much lymph as blood. Both systems work together. They both need to function well for good health. Dr G Lemole a leading US cardiovascular surgeon & scientist notes that 70% of chronic illnesses are partly the result of the clogging in the lymphatic system & could be eliminated if this system is kept clear. He also states that there would be far fewer emergency heart operations less cancer & arthritis, if people took care of their lymphatic systems (2). Wow! this stuff is important!
• This system is a major part of the body's defense mechanisms, removes waste material & toxins, together with the kidneys controls fluid balance, drawing back proteins to the bloodstream lost as blood circulates. It also transports partially processed long chain fatty acids to the bloodstream.
• The thoracic duct, the main lymphatic 'river', is deep within the chest. If it becomes chronically clogged, the pressure of fluid that it constantly transports builds up. This affects the heart lymphatics draining into it and can restrict blood flow in small blood vessels in the heart, thus hindering clearance of the coronary arteries. The volume of blood pumped out by the heart is decreased. Serious conditions such as cardiac arrythmias (irregular heartbeat), rheumatic valvulitis & bacterial endocarditis are more likely to occur if the heart lymphatics do not work properly (3).
• Cholesterol, a fatty molecule, is needed to keep the brain and the body in good repair. It has to be 'carried ' by lipoproteins. It's taken to where it is needed by larger low density lipoproteins (LDL). After use, it becomes oxidised and must be joined to high density lipoproteins (HDL).In the heart, this is always deposited just below the outer layer. The smaller HDL proteins can easily penetrate through the heart artery to 'carry' the oxidised cholesterol away. It's transported by the heart lymphatics to the thoracic duct, thence via the blood circulation, to the liver (2) If this doesn't happen because there's more oxidised cholesterol than the lymphatics can handle, a dangerous build up of unwanted cells can occur in the coronary artery - the beginning of an atherosclerotic plaque (2) . . No wonder there are problems when this vital system becomes congested These include swelling in arm or leg especially after some types of surgery. Swelling, sometimes mistaken for putting on weight despite healthy eating & exercise, can happen anywhere in the body, causing discomfort, unduly heavy breasts, limbs and abdominal swelling. Other symptoms include pain, excessive tiredness, headaches, ear and sinus problems, soreness under armpits or groin, breathlessness and heart palpitations unrelated to physical heart dysfunction. Treatment by quallified professional (doctor or naturopath ) may well be necessary.
When treated by deep lymphatic therapy, some results and relief experienced are little short of amazing .
Cases of severe swelling of leg, arm and breast that did not respond to other methods have shown significant benefits; people with generalised fluid retention have reduced one to two sizes; heart palpitations have disappeared; breathlessness & energy levels have improved; head symptoms alleviated. Usually both urine & bowel flow increase.
What makes this potent & effective therapy work so well? Factors include:-
• Quartz crystals are one of the important tools used to generate natural energy in treatment.. They amplify energy and can change one type of energy into another. When mechanical pressure is applied electrical energy is produced (piezoelectric effect) .Each crystal has its own mechanical, resonant, frequency - the smaller the crystal, the higher the frequency.
• Lymph, the moving watery fluid containing ions that flows through deep nodes & lymphatic vessels, is a good conductor of electrical current . As the therapist applies light pressure on the crystal, directly over the deep lymphatics, a minute electrical charge is generated. This flow of charge follows the pathway of least resistance, probably the deep lymphatics (4)
• Quartz crystal produces coherent energy flow. When incorporated with the therapist’s natural bio-energy field, a powerful energetic field is generated. Its coherent structure enables this minute but amazingly beneficial field to ‘beam’ down precisely to target areas.
